ART FOR PEACE is a reaction against the conflict in Lebanon. But not only about that, A.A.W. has been created to protest about all wars around OUR planet.
The intention, is that EVERY MUSICIAN, BAND, PRODUCER, POET, PAINTER, PHOTOGRAPHER, FILMMAKERS, and artists in general create a unique piece for this protest, with message for PEACE WITH NO CONDITIONS, or just criticising our governments or the attitude of those who just say nothing.
WE, THE ARTISTS, HAVE THE POWER THAT COULD HELP TO CHANGE THE DIRECTION OF THE WORLD. WE ARE THE SOLDIERS, OUR MUSIC, FILMS, PHOTOS, PAINTS, SCULPTURES....ARE THE WEAPONS OF MASS CONSTRUCTION.
PLEASE, think about it for a minute and react. It might be our last chance to do something.
All kinds of help are welcome. Just spread the word.
If anybody wants to help creating a cool website where to upload all masterpieces that people is sending to us, that would be SO cool and a way to collaborate.
WE`RE MAKING A LIST OF ARTISTS WHO SEND US THEIR SONGS, POEMS, PHOTOS, WRITTINGS, ETc... BUT, nobody will know whose is each piece. This is because we don`t want artists use this website to promote themselved...that`s not the cause. We want honest reactions for PEACE, not selfish artists trying to take advantage of a great cause.
THANK YOU SO MUCH
PEACE WITH NO CONDITIONS
ART for peace, 'words for peace, music song for peace, live for peace it is necessary tis a tide of change that need be the pendulum is set to swing that we may gaze with eyes of compassion that love may reign.
o ah hm the sighs of woman man and child, round the world we speaketh in the beat of heart o love come to reign for without there are no reasonings, and love be our strength and nurishment.
Merry Christmas to you , "Recognize that each and every step and stage of life is here to serve you, and bring you closer to love, happiness, learning how to trust your heart, and bring more love into your life." Alana
The Buddha's Words on Kindness (Metta Sutta) This is what should be done By one who is skilled in goodness, And who knows the path of peace:
Let them be able and upright, Straightforward and gentle in speech. Humble and not conceited, Contented and easily satisfied Unburdened with duties and frugal in their ways. Peaceful and calm, and wise and skillful, Not proud and demanding in nature. Let them not do the slightest thing That the wise would later reprove Wishing: In gladness and in saftey, May all beings be at ease. Whatever living beings there may be; Whether they are weak or strong, omitting none, The great or the mighty, medium, short or small, The seen and the unseen, Those living near and far away, Those born and to-be-born, May all beings be at ease!
Let none deceive another, Or despise any being in any state. Let none through anger or ill-will Wish harm upon another. Even as a mother protects with her life Her child, her only child, So with a boundless heart Should one cherish all living beings: Radiating kindness over the entire world Spreading upwards to the skies, And downwards to the depths; Outwards and unbounded, Freed from hatred and ill-will. Whether standing or walking, seated or lying down Free from drowsiness, One should sustain this recollection. This is said to be the sublime abiding. By not holding to fixed views, The pure-hearted one, having clarity of vision, Being freed from all sense desires, Is not born again into this world.
"What is to give light must endure burning" Victor Frank
What is to sing the blues is to endure the wants, needs, and disappointments of living…. And to turn this into a song, Thus the reverberation of the heartfelt soule.. Goeth out to the world…… Love your brother and sister, World needeth such.
Pass it on towards each other, knives are only for spreading butter, Arms are for tending to crops, and holding baby children. Pass it on towards each other millions and trillions of monies Can be used to feed the world And not be wasted on destruction Construction Instead of the positive sort, a quilt on the landscape of man kind. Kind, being thoughtful of each other, loving and respectful And not wanting things that aren’t ours and O my making do Well dew does reach out across the planet each early am, magically? And we too can create do Do unto others as you would have them do unto you .
art for peace, not a piece of this a piece of that, not a look at you what can you do for me, or give me..
no peace can not come without love
love that is of concern for one another,
considering the world and you as one
o let there be love, and with it comes light...
I want money to be spent on peace, NOT WAR! We want others to think about what they are spending money on, and where their money is being spent!
We want people to coin a new idea; movement; revolution in their minds and through their actions!
We have chosen to support coin peace in the face of: greed power corruption violence pollution poverty prejudice apathy. We have started a revolution!
Buy a sharpie/texta and mark your coins as a message of peace and regard for Mother Earth.
This what I heard the other day...that people don't show people love no more. Man only hata's hate. So ya boy just stoppin' thru to show love...You livin'? You not mad? Life good? Well show love back then! ...FreDdy OUT -get at me...

Dear friend of United for Peace and Justice,
The Weather Channel is predicting 48 degrees for Saturday, and the National Weather Service is saying 50 degrees!! No rain, no winds ... the weather should be great for the Jan. 27th mobilization.
We'll be gathering on the National Mall for the pre-march rally from 11 am to 1 pm. Because there might be some precipitation in Washington, DC, before Saturday, there is a possibility that the Mall could be a little muddy. With that in mind, we suggest you wear boots, or at least bring an extra pair of socks.
It's terrific that the weather will be good, but we'll be raising a storm of protest on Saturday. In addition to the massive numbers of people coming from literally every corner of the country, here are some of the folks who will be speaking at the rally:
Mayor Rocky Anderson, Salt Lake City
Moriah Arnold, 12-year-old sixth-grader from Harvard, MA
Carlos Arredondo, Gold Star Families for Peace
Medea Benjamin, founder of CodePink
Leslie Cagan, National Coordinator, United for Peace and Justice
Eve Ensler, playwright
Jane Fonda, actress, author
Kim Gandy, President of the National Organization for Women
Danny Glover, actor/activist
Reverend Graylon Hagler, Plymouth Congregational Church, Washington, DC
Reverend Jesse Jackson, RainbowPUSH Coalition
Jonathon Hutto, active-duty member of the U.S. Navy
Representative Dennis Kucinich (D-OH)
Rabbi Michael Lerner, Tikkun Magazine
Kevin Martin, Executive Director, Peace Action
Tim Robbins, actor/activist
Susan Sarandon, actor/activist
Bob Watada, father of Lt. Ehren Watada, first officer to refuse deployment to Iraq
Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA)
Representative Lynn Woolsey (D-CA)
Ann Wright, retired Army Colonel, former State Dept. diplomat
What You Should Bring to Washington
Signs and banners -- and be sure to include your city or organization
Noise-makers -- let's be loud!
Copies of the petition to Congress signed by people who can't make the trip.
White roses to leave as part of a memorial we'll be creating.
Shoes, especially children's shoes, for the CodePink "Walk in Their Shoes" Installation
There are other activities throughout the weekend -- including our Congressional Lobby Day on Monday -- so if you can stay in town that would be wonderful!
See you on the streets of Washington as we send our message to Congress: It's time to end the war in Iraq and bring the troops home
