    Hey Everyone, Welcome to my myspace. My Name is Dan Griffith and I'm a guitarist, singer, and songwriter. I've played 1000's of shows since 2005, and I simply love to perform and share my music, (which tends to leave people sweaty from dancing with a big smile on their face). … My music resembles my adventurous and passionate personality and combines many styles including Rock n Roll, the jam scene, Funk, Folk, Jazz, Bluegrass, and Reggae. I play and perform music for people to thoroughly enjoy the moment, which can mean so many things...Partying, dancing, simply having fun; sharing unique connections with people, things or Other, or chillen on a drive, walk or on the back porch with some perfect tunes to pacify your mind or relate to your life. I hope my music is used for all those reasons one time or another. I've been in a lot of bands and the leader of a few, but this is the first where it's "my band" per say. I've been writing music and preparing for this for a long time, and it's something I want to do as honestly as possible. Thus, the name Musical Monk. Consider this my effort to break through my artistic ego and let my inhibitions go, to disregard the urge to "entertain" and pretend but rather connect and share something real, raw and universal with you… and of course…thoroughly enjoy every moment. In addition to working on my album, "The spaces in Between," I'm also playing with Zap and the Naturals, an upbeat Reggae band out of Brooklyn.
