About me: Hi all, I am the manager of the Civic Hall in Shildon. It is my aim to start establishing the venue on the local music scene across the board... We put on Tribute Acts, Named 60/70's Groups + The best Local unsigned Bands.
The Shildon Civic Hall was officially opened on 20th July, 1973 and is in a central position, with access from Main Street. It was built to contribute to and foster the social and recreational activities of the community and has become a focus for community life and a highly regarded music venue in the north east of England. The Civic Hall consists of a bar/lounge, restaurant and main hall. The bar/lounge and restaurant are open every evening and Sunday lunchtime for the provision of freshly cooked meals at competitive prices. The main hall is available for hire for formal functions such as wedding receptions and also for concerts and musical performances.
Anyone who wants to gig here.... any kinda music style or era, new or established bands alike + Any promoters looking for a possible venue. Friday,Saturday or Sunday nights are available. Message me through this myspace page if enquiring about performing at The Civic Hall.

After hearing a lot of good reports from my mate Chippy from The METAL GODS Rock Show, I took the missus out on Monday night, to see Winter in Eden and what a great night! What a fantastic venue for watching bands and I can not believe we have been travelling to see live music and this has been on our doorstep! I was also doing a bit of a rekki for my son as his band, Fallen Fate, is playing the Rock of Ages charity gig in November and I had recommended this venue to Steve from Rock of Ages after the good feedback from friends. What a great call that has turned out to be as you could not wish for a better venue for a day of Hard Rock and Heavy METAL! We will be turning out for any rock/metal day/nights in the future. Cheers and Stay METAL – Alan form N/Aycliffe!!
