Comments from January's Open Mic:
We had a great time and were very impressed with the professionalism of the performers and crew. That was the highest caliber open mic I've ever attended. The quality of musicianship was remarkably high, which is most unusual. One performer in particular, Renee, a solo acoustic guitarist, really blew me away.
Keep up the good work. We look forward to the next one. - AND - I just wanted to let you know how much I thoroughly enjoyed myself at the Jan open-mic. I drove up from Monmouth Beach , NJ , about an 1hour 45min away, and it was worth every minute of the drive. It was the most professionally run open-mic I’ve ever seen. The sound was excellent...good sound makes the difference between a good night and a bad night. I went up early with the intentions of heading home early… but the music and level of performer kept me mesmerized… I ended up staying until they started the 2nd go-rounds at which point I made myself leave. Thank you for a wonderful evening of music!
You folks at the Mission are the best. We thoroughly enjoy ourselves at Open Mic. It is a pleasure to play on the same stage with NJ's best and Gary Hagen has the best ears around.
Music at the Mission is just about the greatest place on the planet to play ... period!!! It has the best sound (and crew) of any venue anywhere and the folks that run it are the friendliest, most gracious, people you'll ever have the good fortune to meet.
C'mon out! You may arrive not knowing anyone but you'll leave with a bunch of new best friends!
With all the friends of MATM and the great music you guys bring to North Jersey, I can't believe I'm making the first comment! I'll be seeing you guys one of these days... (watch out!) :-)
