B.T.K. - Lyrical Escape Video
B.T.K. is a young artist born in Salinas, CA that currently resides in North Carolina. B.T.K. grew up listening to all forms of music and became comfortable with writing music. B.T.K. is is an Indie artist that is not necessarily looking for a record deal but is instead just trying to be heard. He works with his group the Border Kingz which includes E.B.C. member Lil Ego, Young G and other artists. B.T.K. first started rapping in 2005 without a rap name , just rapping as himself. His first raps included tracks such as "Step to Me", "The King's Court", and various other tracks. For about a year B.T.K. had a musical drought and didn't create much new material. During the summer of 2007 he was back and he had a name: B.T.K. He first gained MySpace profile views due to a diss track he did about another local artist. After the dissing was finished he began to work on his first Mixtape project entitled "Introduction". During the process of creating the Mixtape, B.T.K. decided to clean up his raps by eliminating the use of cuss words. Ever since he made the decision to erase cuss words he stuck to it and became confident in his abilities as a rapper. His first Mixtape is his favorite profect so far. This Mixtape the early tracks "The Knockout", "I Gon Get Ya", "B.T.K.'s Back", "Going Back, "Like Him", "International Player" and other tracks. "International Player" was his biggest MySpace success and earned over a thousand plays and continues to be his biggest hit. Then he started a new project entitled "The Remixtape King". This project includes his remixes to popular songs. The Mixtape includes the tracks "Big Things Crackin", I'll Take Her (Gasolina Flow)", "Hip Hop Police Flow", "Keep Gettin Stronger", "N Luv With My Money", "Not Holdin Back", "Umbrella Remix", and other tracks. His "Umbrella Remix" became one of his most popular tracks around the Internet and he also made a video that can be viewed on YouTube, MySpace, and ReverbNation. After he got on a roll with his music the only thing left to do is to continue making music which he is currently doing. He is currently working on a new Mixtape entitled "Lyrical Escape". His goal with this Mixtape is to display how he wants to change the image of rap from negative to positive to faithful rap listeners and to gain new supporters of rap. The Mixtape includes many tracks that have already been released such as "All Eyes Are On You" and "The Best". And features collaborations from members of the Border Kingz, a group that includes Lil Ego, Young G and other artists. The next thing left to do is get a record deal. If he did get a record deal he has been know to say that he refuses to be controlled by a record label and would rather be "Independent Unknown" than be a "Corporate Puppet".
