Sometimes you don’t always get what you expect from a package, Singer/Songwriter Marcie is anything but what you expected to get.
She is energetic, insightful, and opinionated; which you realize very quickly after listening to her music and lyrics. This Pop/Rock song bird can be soft and sexy or kick it up a notch to be edgy, yet playful.
Growing up in Colorado with her mother who is from Belize provided an interesting mix of music ranging from R&B, Pop/Rock, to Calypso. Her influences are eclectic and it shows in her creative flow.
She has performed at the posh Beverly Hills lounge Calibar, Century Club, LA’s premiere live music spot Molly Malones, and various showcases in the greater Los Angeles area. After being a member of the group Affinity (3 girl pop singing/dancing group), singing lead and most background harmonies, and singing back up for some solo acts, she has decided to branch out on her own.
Marcie was featured on SCORE, a show on MTV, hosted by Ryan Cabrera. As a contestant she had to write the lyrics to a song, help compose the music, and perform the finished product for a live audience in Hollywood’s hot spot The Avalon (and yes she won!). The show aired on MTV in November 2005. Most recently Marcie was seen on the most popular show on TV American Idol successfully making it to the top 44. Currently Marcie is a part of an energetic, fun, diverse cover band called "Hindsite", they perform on a regular basis in and around the LA area. You can see them live by checking out the "upcoming shows" section. At last, finding herself and her niche has been a fun, challenging, learning experience... She is a constant work in progress; we should expect great things from Marcie in the future!
