Mick grew up in Missoula, Montana. Met his wife at College and raised five kids. Now there are 3 married and so far, 4 grandkids. Mick's kids are musicians and do guest musician nights from time to time.
Mick began his musical career in 1974 playing lounges, brew pubs, and college coffee houses, covering artists James Taylor, John Denver, Cat Stevens, Hank Williams Sr., and many others. While in college during the mid 70's, Mick played with bands covering many of the rock and roll icons of the era. The band, The Hightops was formed in 1988 and played until 2002 when they disbanded. Although not together any longer, they've reunited several times to do select shows in the Seattle area. Influences include, James Taylor, Muddy Waters, Miles Davis, Elvis, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, Eric Clapton, SRV, and Southern Gospel.
Mick's band, "The Mick Hart Band" plays through all his musical influences including Blues, Jazz, and Country. The EP "Ride With Me" will be released in August, 2009 featuring musicians in Colorado, Connecticut, Montana, and Washington. Mick is collaborating with family and friends whom he's played with for many years.
Mick has a love for Fender Stratocasters and Telecasters, especially the old old ones.
