Nathan Bland, aka Nate B, has been DJing for 8 years playing a variety of music across house, techno, electro, progressive and breaks. He has played at many of Brisbane’s premier venues including all 3 levels of the Empire, Family, Monastery, JaJa’s and the Emerald Room, as well as many of the best underground events the city has to offer such as LiquidBass, Horny, Passion, The Goodness, as well as a spot 2004 and 2005 Adventjah Summerblast.
Nate also started promoting events in Brisbane in June 2001, breaking Phil K to a Brisbane audience at the Moonbar. Since then he has gone on to put on quality events all over town with some of Australia (Phil K, Vance Musgrove) and the World’s best (Funk D’Void, Tyler Stadius, Lemon8).
Nate moved to Melbourne in May 2006 and quickly set about making a mark on the dance scene here as well. In January 2007 Nate teamed up with Travis Hobbs (Dr Disconyx) to start Fromage Disco at Loop and they haven’t looked back. 9 months in and it is still rocking hard, leading to other gigs in Melbourne such as Nano, More Bass, and Listening Station.
His eclectic selection of music as well as his ability to read a dance floor have seen him support DJs such as Chester Beatty (Jap), Steve Gerrard (UK), Tyler Stadius (Can), Funk D’Void (Scot), Danny McMillan (UK), Someone Else (US), Omid 16b (UK), Phil K, Chris Fraser, Vance Musgrove, Sleiker, and more. These supports have led to further gigs at the Sunshine and Gold Coasts, as well as Port Douglas.
