The Reign was a progressive rock from the 90’s (1992-1999) and has played in the tri-state area (NJ,PA,NY) as an original/cover band and has had many incarnations of players throughout its history as a band. After leaving The Web, Linda and I jammed with Joe through out the summer of 1992 and forced Erick to leave Potters Potter and to join us as a bass player. We then went ahead to audition singers and we meant Nick who just left Vision Circle and his voice is what we were looking for. The first line-up on Reign 1 featured; Nick Tibbrine on lead vocals, Linda (Raymond) Sannuti ..boards, Erick McGinnis on bass, backing vocals, acoustic guitar and mandolin, Joe Wells on drums and percussion and Mark Sannuti on electric/acoustic guitars(6&12 strings), and backing vocals.
In 1994 Joe and Erick had left the band and were replaced by Jamie Mitchell on drums and Dave Winer on bass. They both had come from a Greatfull Dead cover band and this gave us a different sound and more improv-jamming at our shows. For the next two years we went on several mini-tours and started to incorporate some cover tunes into our show.
By 1996 the shows came to an end and Nick and Dave left the band to pursue others avenues within the music industry. So, the next line-up would be a four-piece collaboration with, Linda ..boards, Jamie on drums, Mark on Guitars and vocals, and Mike Pedit on vocals/bass. We then became an original/cover band playing songs like Tom Sawyer from Rush and Dogs from Pink Floyd made our show unique for the time. And not to mention an amazing laser light show.
By the time 1998 rolled around, we found ourselves in the studio with almost the original members minus a drummer. We began recording, “The Last Days of Kourion” at Lee Studios and we were also playing live as well. We continued to perform live until near the end of 1999 in which the band then had called it quits.
