Fresh off of winning ‘The 2008 BEAT Music Award’ for “Best New Artist”, Di’Ja arrives on the scene wit a fresh face and an incredible story. Coming from a small town in Nigeria, Di'Ja is a fresh face in the music industry. After growing up both in Sierra Leone and Nigeria, she moved to Canada, to pursue a higher education. At very young age Di’Ja has already earned two University degrees and is well on her way to making a name for herself in the music industry. Di'Ja's goal is to become a very successful West African woman in both academics and entertainment.
Magic struck for Di’Ja after she entered THE BEAT 94.5’s annual talent search, ‘THE BEAT MUSIC AWARDS’, where Di’Ja brought home the Gold and won a Production deal with RockSTAR Music Corp.
Shortly after Di’Ja’s win at THE BMA’s, she entered the studio with an award winning hit-making team of Producers; Adam H., The BananaToons, and SA Trackworks (who’s credits collectively include Jessica Simpson, The Corrs, Kelly Rowland, George Clinton, Elise Estrada, LiveOnArrival), and magic happened with the debut single, entitled “Rock Steady”!
