MusicFest is the Australian edition of "Fête de la Musique", a unique international event. Initiated in France 25 years ago, its name and concept have spread throughout the world.
Last year in Sydney, more than 5 000 people, 300 musicians and 36 venues have participated to this event. So after this huge success, Sydney will join for the 2nd edition the 330 cities - New York, Havana, Paris, London, Rio etc- involved in MusicFest on the 21st and 23rd of June. And the theme this year is:
“Music Fest: Make your own music, Make your own stage ! ”
? It is a multicultural and multi-community event: it is indeed a way to involve all the civil communities altogether.
? MusicFest is a way to go beyond borders, by providing also public access to places that are not traditionally concert venues - such as museums, hospitals, offices, jails…-
? It is a unique international celebration of music and free live performances, which gathers all styles of music, and targets the whole population.
? The Alliance Française acting as a link, this event will be yours. It will totally belongs to you and the performers, by creating an own unique program.
? It will help you catch people attention through free shows and attract customers.
? Indeed, by highlighting local treasures and richnesses, you can benefit from an amazing awareness and visibilty.
