Vicki McCrone and Little Songs, making waves in Education
I am so thrilled to see that Vicki McCrone is getting media recognition for her wonderful work with her Little Songs CDs and DVDs. These songs are being used with children with Autism and developmental disabilities, and they are perfectly crafted for use with young children.
Vicki was on Volume 1 of Music For Coffee Beings that went out to 1000 coffee shops across Canada. I am so glad to see her making waves in the world of education.
SERENA RYDER WINS JUNO FOR BEST NEW ARTIST IN 2008
We are so pumped to have Serena's song Just Another Day on MFCB Vol 3.
TWO MUSIC FOR COFFEE BEINGS SONGS WIN HONOURABLE MENTION IN THE INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITING COMPETITION
Walking Down to the Station by Kim Beggs, and Emily by Isobelle Gunn, both from Music Coffee Beings Volume 1 have been awarded Honourable Mention in the International Songwriting Competition this year.
Kim's Walking Down By The Station won hourable mention for the Americana category.
Emily by Isobelle Gunn won its award in the Folk/singer/songwriter category.
The ISC wrote "We are very proud of this accomplishment, and we applaud the skill it takes to craft a winning song.
ISC received over 15,000 entries from 100 countries throughout the world, so this acknowledgement of the song by ISC and its judges is a noteworthy achievement of which you can be very proud."

In order to further spread the music of the artists on our compilations, we have decided to branch out and involve coffee shops in the US as well as those in Canada. It will be about a 50/50 split.Music For Coffee Beings Volume 4 will be the first compilation to have this distribution. Still approx 1000 cds are being distributed free of charge to coffee shops along with 20,000 beautiful full colour brochures with artist information on them for workers and customers to browse as they enjoy their favourite beverage.

SERENA RYDER who is on MUSIC FOR COFFEE BEINGS VOL 3 has won a JUNO for Best New Artist. These are the prestigious Canadian Recording awards. We are thrilled to welcome Serena Ryder and her song, Just Another Day,to Music For Coffee Beings.

Music For Coffee Beings is breaking new ground in promoting Canadian and world artists. Our goal is to distribute quality Canadian music free of charge to 1000 cafes and coffee shops throughout Canada and now the USA. We are creating a series of compilation CDs that will feature some of North America's best independant and signed artists and sending them out to over 1,000 coffee shops and cafes across Canada and the USA. This is a promotional CD that will not be sold and will get original music out there and into the ears of the general public. By playing our CDs, coffee shops can play an important part in nurturing the growth of original Music. 20,000 colour brochures are sent out along with the 1000 CDs, publicising the participating artists and giving contact information. The artist and track info will also be posted on the Music For Coffee Beings Official website, along with links to the artists websites.

Specially selected coffee shops and cafes in major Canadian cities and regional centres will receive FREE CDs for airplay in their establishments, along with brochures featuring the artists, their bio and website and CD purchasing info.
We are excited at the success of this promotional project whose purpose is to garner airplay and consumer recognition for the artists appearing on each volume. We have a large and ever growing cafe database to distribute our Music For Coffee Beings Volumes to. We believe this to be a unique opportunity for Canadian and world artists and feel there is no other service that can provide and deliver this level of national airplay at such a competitive price. Our debut compilation went out in August 2007. We are currently accepting submissions for Volume 4
Music For Coffee Beings will not be for sale. It will only be available to cafes and coffee shops that have agreed to play it in their establishment. A new CD will be released every 6-8 weeks. This will allow our network of cafes to build a library of the latest and greatest local music.
