Music for Girls is pure rock with hints of Glam, New Wave, and Post-Punk whose musical influences range from the Talking Heads to the Pretenders. With lyrics about boys behaving badly and the merits of a good pair of shoes sung to an ultra-hip beachy sound, they'll leave you tapping your feet, bobbing your head, and drumming your fingers on the bar for another drinkthat's if you can get the bartender to look away from the stage.
Music For Girls was conceived in 2002 in NYC (which might explain their terminally self-conscious, yet light-hearted stage presence). After a couple years of touring the local circuit, they finally found time from their hectic day jobs in 2006 to record their first album, the self-titled debut Music for Girls.
