Music for Relief has launched a response to aid survivors of recent disasters in Southeast Asia and the Pacific Islands.
Following a typhoon which caused severe flooding in the Philippines and significant loss of life and property in Vietnam, Laos and Cambodia, an earthquake and subsequent tsunami which destroyed sixty villages in Samoa and two earthquakes on the Indonesian island of Sumatra which may have killed 3,000 people we ask for your help for the relief effort.

Over 2 million people have been affected by these disasters, hundreds of thousands are displaced and in need of shelter, food, clean water, and medical supplies. Hospitals, schools, homes and in some cases entire villages have been destroyed. Thank you for supporting the relief effort.
MUSIC FOR RELIEF seeks to bring the music community together to maximize the efforts to create awareness and raise funds for those in need. MUSIC FOR RELIEF is comprised of musicians, fans, and music industry professionals.
Founded by the band Linkin Park, Music for Relief is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing aid to victims of natural disasters and the prevention of such disasters. Since its inception in 2005, Music for Relief has raised over $3 million for the victims of the tsunami tragedy in Southeast Asia, hurricanes Katrina, Rita, Hanna, Gustav & Ike, Wildfires in Southern California and Victoria Australia, Cyclones Sidr and Aila in Bangladesh, Cyclone Nargis in Myanmar, the 5.12 earthquake in China, the cholera outbreak in Zimbabwe, and a tornado in Mena, Arkansas.
MFR has organized a benefit concert featuring multi-platinum artists, sent musicians and volunteers to Southeast Asia and the U.S. Gulf Coast to help rebuild and donate supplies to people in need, and planted over 809,000 trees to help reduce global warming.

I just saw the videos and it just reminded me of my day of volunteering at Warped....and i miss it sooo much. It was one day but i wished for more days. Aimee was AMAZING, MFR cause is amazing and i really do want to do it again!!! Volunteering just made me love MFR sooo much more. Hope MFR met the goal for the summer!!!!! <3 veronica
