“Alongside Lucinda Williams, Todd Snider and Ryan Adams, Rear View Mirror is one of the best Americana releases at the moment! All are beautiful songs, and the strength of Rear View Mirror shines.” ~ Rootstime (Belgium)
“A breadth of expression and an absolutely outstanding talent.” ~ Lonestar Time (Italy)
“A truly phenomenal songwriter, Davis plays a variety of stringed instruments (including pedal steel, which always impresses me). A marvelous blend of traditional Americana and roots-based music—from blues and jazz to folk and country, with his own experiences, history, and the glorious themes of the west.” ~ About.com
“Since moving to Jackson Hole in the summer of 2001, singer-songwriter Aaron Davis has established himself as one of the most dynamic, talented players on the scene. Rear View Mirror is a great album and tremendous effort for the gifted singer-songwriter.” ~ Jackson Hole News & Guide
“Big names like Wilco, The Black Crowes, and Ben Harper all brought some serious noise to the tiny venue at Jackson Hole Music Festival. A little folksy, a little bluesy, with some really cool slide riffs and a harmonica worked in, Aaron Davis created a pleasant vibe until Kaki King came to the stage." ~ Gratefulweb.net
hey, aaron! how's the snow in jackson this year? my sister and i are thinking about making a ski trip in early march. (either that or we're going to the beach!)
i hope things are going well for you -- that 'rear view mirror' review was awesome, congrats!
you're not going to believe the trout fishing that i got into yesterday! rainbows and browns all day long. water was boiling...and yes i was in kentucky! needless to say i've got a new fishing spot.
This next short tour has a full run... let's hope my voice can last through it. I'm flying outta here on Thursday... still debating on whether I want baggage handlers to throw around my guitar or a suitcase full of pedals and a looper.... hmmm? First time flying with this much gear.
