Some artists dream...some artists work. From singing for more than 15 years almost nightly in bars and coffee houses to shaking the rafters of main stages on the east and west coast, Patty has sustained a career doing what she loves best... writing and performing the music she loves.________________
With an undying passion for creating and delivering soulful music, Patty Reese’s style has been compared to Bonnie Raitt, Melissa Etheridge and Janis Joplin. Inspired by the vocals of Etta James and Aretha Franklin, Reese’s own standout vocal style encompasses pop, blues, folk and rock.____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

MUSIC MONTHLY MAGAZINE....
"It is as if she were a female Dylan, and the setting is unrefined Blonde on Blonde-period.....Ms. R’s summation of the finale with her vocal and acoustic notes is, quite simply, timeless. Captured timelessly, as well, is the vast majority of this album, with exemplary ensemble work by the entire production and mastering team, including Ms. R, some of the guest artists, Marco Delmar, and Bill Wolf. Those previous three consecutive (Train, Take You With Me and Stuck on the Outside) songs make the strongest grouping of local or regional tunes I've ever heard, demonstrating the purity and variety of Ms. R’s many gifts. Alone, they would make a CD worthwhile to own. They kick the already-high energy into the stratosphere. Coupled with so many other notable songs, they fly just the same. They make this a moveable feast. The uniqueness and flexibility of her voice, combined with the maturity, polish, and professionalism of her song-writing, alone and in collaboration with John Tracey and others, stirred in the cauldron of personal and performance experience, make her a triple-threat—une chanteuse extraordinaire. One special talent on the verge of a breakthrough___________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

David Lockhart's painfully excessive capturing of the booze-swilling and constantly concupiscent Jim Morrison is an encyclopedic homage to the ethos of rock. Boudeeka's haunting accurate portrayal of Janis Joplin is a tribute to women in rock and the raw emotion that was so much a part of the scene. Carlton Poward is an almost frightening replica with his spot-on Jimi Hendrix characterization and inspired guitar playingšÃ‚ Pat Craig Contra Costa Times
