"A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has." - Margaret Mead

Musicians for a Cause has selected the New York Songwriters Circle to provide songs in support of the National Council of Nonprofits... The Maine Songwriters Association is stepping up to help Camp Allen with a very special request... Musicians for a Cause teams with Swallow Hill Music Association to write songs for the Breckenridge Outdoor Education Center...

Musicians for a Cause works with songwriters and nonprofit organizations to create music that brings life to worthy causes.

Our sincerest thanks goes out to all who participated in supporting our "Life in the Years" project. The music is now in place to support the next phase which will be announced soon!

The songs and stories are incredibly touching and this is truly the most comprehensive collection of songs in the world that bring compassion, love, and a touch of humor to the issues around aging.

Our goal was to create such a compelling compilation that each person who hears it finds several songs that they
just have to tell someone about,
and we certainly accomplished that.

The "Life in the Years" project went out to over 350,000 talented songwriters around the world.
We had entries from Australia to Iceland, India to Trinidad, the United States to the United Arab Emirates, all over Europe and everywhere in between! So many songs were inspired by this event that there are now thousands more people singing songs that bring compassion, awareness and humor to the issues around aging.

The songs and stories are all very touching in their own way and represent so many important perspectives and messages. Please visit our website
to seeing the final selections. It wasn't easy!

Our "Life in the Years" project is much more than the compilation CDs. The music provides the foundation for a larger initiative to support our nations elderly that will be announced soon. Please check back or sign up for our email list and we'll let you know as soon as it's announced.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Musicians for a Cause is a grass roots volunteer organization that fosters active involvement by the music community in social causes by teaming songwriters, musicians and other music professionals with nonprofit organizations, using music to bring life to the causes they support. Our goal is to ensure that every nonprofit organization that wants music to support their cause has access to it.
Music creates emotion, so we help organizations increase awareness and support for their efforts by writing songs that create an emotional bond between them and their patrons. People are much more likely to listen to a song than read a website or brochure, and if it's on an mp3 player or a CD, the message is heard over and over again and the cause comes to mind every time they hear it!
Musicians for a Cause works closely with each nonprofit organization to provide songs that have meaning and connection to their cause. We partner with songwriting groups, organizations and colleges/universities with songwriting programs who are interested in participating in projects to support a worthy cause.
If you're with a songwriting organization and interested geting more information about helping with a project, please (
click here.) Please go to www.m4ac.org for more information on Musicians for a Cause.
Our goal is to have our efforts funded not only through donations and grants, but also an occasional cover by a named artist to help bring visibility to a cause on a national level. If you're a local artist, covering a song would help too! Every time an artist covers a song it increases the number of people who may be inspired to take action.
Become part of a growing community of musicians who care!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Musicians for a Cause provides songs that can be used on a website, in a fund-raising campaign or incorporated into a promotional/emotional video to inspire support. Songs are provided on a volunteer basis - there's no cost.
If you’re a nonprofit organization and would like information on getting a song for your cause, please go to www.m4ac.org for more information.

Mar 9 2009 5:03 PM

I really appreciate your support and helping spread the word - as a group we can really make a difference! Hope you are doing well and you have a great week!

Help support our troops by visiting the Military Troops Calendar Myspace page (on my top friends), www.militarytroopscalendar.com or my Myspace page and click the Paypal button. Proceeds go to the Fisher House, Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund and allow us to send the calendars to the troops serving overseas free of charge to thank them for their service to our country. Our goal is to send 17,000 overseas within the next couple weeks. Thank you for your support!

We're hiring - if you need a job read our blog!
