In a fast moving market there remain two things tantamount to the survival of the live music industry and that is one of creativity, the other of timing. Jason Walsh, founder of Musicians Incorporated, opened the company in 2002 as a response to the dearth of impossibly dull and manufactured artists flooding the charts who then tried to take their music into the live field. Most couldn't. To an ex-musician himself it seemed insulting. At the same time he had been witnessing a surge of interest in 'world music' through tickets and album sales in Europe. Up until then he, like most, believed world music to be for a tiny minority of socks'n'sandals beardies who would pay reverence to Monglolian nose flute players destined only ever to play at the Bognor Regis Arts Centre. Fortunately he was a little more open-minded and took the plunge into an exciting and exhilarating area of live music.

Armed with years of booking experience with the likes of Robert Plant, Coldplay, Gary Barlow, Bryan Ferry, Christina Aguilera, Ritchie Blackmore, John Mayall etc, he knew he was at a commercial advantage to those few already in the market place. None of the main agencies had the foresight to work major artists who were considered abroad as enormously popular, who had a story to tell, whose live-work would prove leagues above the rest yet would be considered here in the UK too leftfield. Previously overlooked and neglected, the UK no longer relies simply on WOMAD's yearly introduction of international stars to enthral audiences. Musicians Incorporated not only boasts of numerous tours throughout the year, but also of being a founder organiser and curator of the highly successful 'African Soul Rebel Tour' (now in its' fourth year and shortly to go international); is a founder board member of Damon Albarn's critically acclaimed 'Africa Express' (most recently seen running a stage at Glastonbury); a consultant for the UK's touring 'Heatwave Festival'; has had its artists both nominated and won accolades at various events including the MOBO's and BBC World Music Awards (consecutively for the last five years).

Internationally where does one start? Nominees and winners at the likes of The Grammys, Junos and Les Victoires de la Musique; consultants to various festivals; artists touring clubs, theatres and festivals throughout the year on all continents.
