Kashmir (one half of the Dub Poets Collective) employs scores of international musical and political influences fused into his heartfelt productions. Growing up on the grimy streets of Scarborough (Toronto), Kashmir has managed to focus his efforts towards Unity, Peace and Discipline which he constantly strives to achieve day in day out. His interest of amalgamating music, politics and academia has been influenced by great personalities of all walks of life. Being inspired mainly by Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), Malcolm X, Mujahideen and anyone who has contributed to extending the life of music by a generation, sums up who he is today.
