About me: Music Live in two words…. IT ROCKS!
Music Live is the biggest consumer music event in the UK, the Line up for 2007 was the strongest ever yet… with the presence of rock royalty Velvet Revolver’s Duff McKagan, Slayer’s Kerry King and Bullet For My Valentine’s Matt Tuck. Fans were able to meet and greet the artists during signing sessions running throughout the weekend.
Music Live being a decidedly ‘hands-on’ music affair was buzzing from start to finish. With exclusive acoustic performances from artists including Dave McPherson (InMe) and the Mexicolas on the Kerrang! Radio stage.
Once again the Live Stage rocked, with performances from This Is Menace, Kid Ego, The Heights, Blitzkrieg, Tygers Of Pan Tang…The Live Stage is just one element of the Music Live mix, it also has clinics, seminars and an exhibition area witch spans over 10,000 sqm.
Guitar Hero previewed their latest release at the 2007 show; with Guitar Hero 3… Also the London Drum Company sold the only DW Neil Peart signature drum kit in the UK for in excess of £20 000! The Revolution Café was a great success; unsigned bands had feedback from professionals in the industry to give them the imperative advice to make it in the ever changing, highly competitive music industry. Music Live 2007 was without a doubt an awesome show.
Music Live 2008 will again play host to the likes of, Marshall, PRS, Yamaha, Ashdown and many more. Unlike the internet at Music Live you get benefit of trying before buying and get special show deals throughout the event…
Guitar players in particular are in for a treat at the Music Live, as the show hosts all the very latest electric and acoustic guitars, amps, effects, gadgets and accessories will all be available for visitors to get their hands on. As with tons of hi-tech recording gear for the project studio-owning six-stringer; Focusrite, Audio-Technica and Mackie gear.
The line-up of artists yet has been confirmed for Music Live 2008, but it is guaranteed to be bigger and better then 2007, and rumours are that Velvet Revolver’s Duff McKagan may be back as he loved the UK’s biggest music-making event...
Dates for Music Live 2008 are 7-9 November 2008, at the NEC Birmingham.
