"Be Here Now" Festival Scheduled for Starks, ME, August 14-16
Starks, Maine -- The hill at Harry Brown's Farm will come ALIVE
with music, giant puppets, belly dancing, and fire twirling three days during tie "Be Here Now" Festival this August.
Organizers hope to build on the success of “Harry Hoe-Down,” the first festival held on the site this season, where thousands of people braved the late June rains to bring to life Harry Brown's vision of “free people assembling freely.” An icon of Maine's counter-culture, Brown has been hosting festivals on his land for nineteen years to support efforts to legalize marijuana in Maine.

Turkey is actually thought to be the Give-Away Eagle to many Native peoples. The philosophy of give-away was practiced by many in the land, most notably Hobbits, Elves, Gypsies, Rovers and of course Santa Claus. Our staff and volunteers at Music Loves Everybody give away FREE CDs. We believe sharing is caring and hope that all of you who received free CDs and came to this website, will continue the spirit of giving by copying and distributing the Legendary CD. Soon our CD From the Future will be out and then you all can find out how to really help the music.
Simply stated, it is the deep and abiding recognition of sharing yourself with others that inspires community. When we give to others what we have found, then we open our hearts and souls to that we may live.

Word of mouth is world-renown as the best form of advertising and it is free. PROJECT FOLKLORE is an attempt to not only provide FREE PROMOTION for GOOD MUSIC but also unite music with art and literature thus educating all the senses. Funding is needed for traditional advertising of this project.
In present-day urban life, are taught to acquire and get ahead? The person with the most toys wins the game. In some cultures, no one can win the game unless the whole of the People's needs are met. A person who claims more than his or her share is looked upon as selfish or crazy or both. Music Loves Everybody strives to "give back" to the musicians, fans and venues who keep the music alive. Our distribution of promotional CDs helps to get the word out about new bands emerging on the festival scene and taking the crowds by storm. We hope to help make those crowds bigger and integrate the community back into the music.
We're a non-profit music loving group dedicated to spreading the word of good music and Grate shows!!!
