About
We made “Best of 2010” on 4ZzZ’s show The Inconvenience Party.
“Send/Receive” made the “Top Tunes for 2010” on 4ZzZ’s New Release Show.
The album was second place on “Top 10 Australian Albums of 2k10” on Who the Hell.
Time Off gave the album 4 stars. – “The 22 tracks sewn together here are a wonderland-type tapestry of live instrumentation, beats and vinyl assortments. The ensuing mood casts long and deep shadows (reinforced by the album’s artwork), which easily translate to gritty back alleyways or the renewal that springs from urban decay. That’s just one interpretation though and, with the resonance of organ or guitar often coming into view alongside languid basslines and nameless samples, it’s all contextual and would definitely provide a different trip for each and every one of us.”
Rave Magazine said - "Saint Surly & Monster Monster are two local producers who have been collaborating for the past two years and are responsible for some of the most interesting sounds to come out of Brisbane.
Hardcopy of the album is available at shows, from Videorama Records, and a few stores – downstairs at Rockinghorse, Wax Museum, and some others.
Someone uploaded the album on Teh Interwebz so now it’s on 2000 questionable sites for free, but we’d prefer it if you’d get a digital copy from Teh iTunez
Out of the Woodwork was nominated for “Best Instrumental Release for 2010” on OzHipHop.com.
