Savitri (1995)
An
epic soundtrack to a timeless love story, retold in this 69
minute neoclassical symphony. These 12
romantic songs transport the listener to 5th century B.C. India,
where the Princess Savitri discovers that true love can conquer
death.
Bright
piano, dreamy flutes, tender strings, sparkling chimes
and airy celestial choirs transform the flight of Icarus from
a classical Greek tragedy into a modern triumph of the human
spirit.
Traditional songs of the season are dusted with 2002's signature sound. Very soft from beginning to end - a holiday lullaby perfect for Winter nights relaxing by a cozy fire.
You could take away the sun
You could take away the sky
We’d always have this moment of love
We could follow every dream
We could chase it to the stars
We’d always have this moment of love
We will always have this moment of love
When I look into your eyes I know it’s true
Even now this world begins and ends with you With you
When the darkness arrives
Like a storm in the night
If I just hear your voice
It guides me home
Light returning again
Never reaching the end
Of this love
If the wind refused to blow
If the moon would fly away
We would always have this moment of love
We will always have this moment...

2002 released their first CD, Wings in 1992, launching their own record label they called Dreamtime Records. Wings was soon picked up for distribution by Music Design and New Leaf.
By 1995, Wings had done quite well and a second CD, Savitri was released. This CD caught the attention of Sausalito-based record label Real Music, who offered the couple a 6 album record contract. The first of the 6 CDs, Chrysalis, was released by Real Music in 1997 and charted on Billboard Magazine's New Age Chart for 7 weeks.
In the following years, Pamela and Randy released 6 more albums under Real Music: Land of Forever, River of Stars, Across an Ocean of Dreams, The Sacred Well, This Moment Now and The Emerald Way. These albums, along with Chrysalis, charted on Billboard for a total of 264 weeks. Real Music also picked up 2002's back catalog, Wings and Saviti and re-released both albums with new artwork.
Pamela and Randy record all their music at their state-of-the-art studio. Randy Copus plays piano, electric cello, guitar, bass and keyboards. Pamela Copus plays flutes, harp, keyboards and a wind instrument called a WX5. Both musicians also provide all of the vocals on their albums, recording their voices many, many times and layering them to create a "virtual choir" with a celestial, angelic quality. The vocals also have many dimensions, as words and chants in Sanskrit, Spanish, Latin and Japanese, representing sacred traditions throughout the world, can be heard on their albums.
