Hannah Christianson, a hard-working girl from the Midwest, was born with a smile on her face, or so her mother says. Growing up in a lively family of seven, the young Hannah learned to perceive the world in her own unique way, and found music to be the perfect medium through which to express her thoughts and feelings. While in elementary school, she created a list of "Things I Want To Be When I Grow Up." In order from most desired to least (and, coincidentally, from highest average salary to lowest) They are as follows: 1) Doctor 2) Architect 3) Egyptologist/Archaeologist 4) Teacher and 5) Musician. .. .. Amazingly, she's been able to achieve nearly all of these dreams through her songwriting. Being a Music Therapy major, she's explored the healing aspects of music. Also a notable Songwriting major, she's learned how to design the song in an architectural fashion, while digging and searching for words and rhymes yet to be discovered, an archaeologist of lyrics perhaps. Not only that, but throughout her time at the largest contemporary music college in the world, Berklee College of Music, Hannah has taught piano and voice lessons, as well as songwriting, to fellow friends and others who are in need of her help. .. .. Clearly, choosing to be a musician was the correct choice. Her thoughtful writing encompasses the human condition with honesty, charisma, and hope. Peter Swenson, Director of Social Media at CD Baby says Hannah is "a good mix of sweetness and pop sensibility, with an engaging voice that sounds like fine wine." Hannah received an Honorable Mention in Berklee’s Prestigious Performer/Songwriter Contest in 2009, and was selected as a winner in 2010 with her song "Goin' Somewhere." She's performed in The Best of Berklee’s Songwriters Showcase and her song, "Let's Be Frisbees" was chosen for the Perfect Pitch contest (run by the Songwriting club at Berklee). “Let’s Be Frisbees” was also recently featured on a compilation CD for the Raising the Blues Foundation, which distributed uplifting music to children’s hospitals. .. .. She frequently plays throughout the Boston area, sharing her music to all who want to hear. Hannah plans to spend the spring playing music and traveling around Europe, taking classes, and learning to play the harp. When she returns in the summer, she will release an EP and begin on her first U.S. tour. ..
