  • Bio

Melody Federer, 23, has been attracting attention around NYC for her "irresistable original melodies". Combining the qualities of folk and 1930's stride of Monmarte with a more contemporary style, Melody's classic sound and timely lyrics resonate with audiences across generations. Her music radiates a youthful passion, and her voice is truly - for lack of a more appropriate term - melodic. The tunes radiate a contagious youthful energy and reflect a firm appreciation for the more lasting things in life. Melody was chosen as the face of Chanel's fragrance Chance in Paris along with modeling for Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger. Melody spent time in Thailand teaching English before winning a scholarship to The Amer ican Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York City based on her music. Most recently she starred as in Shakespeare's Othello as Desdemona. A self-taught musician on piano and guitar, the first producer of Norah Jones said " She's the next one. She has that special spark—and she's got a head buzzing with melodies!"
