“MusicOnAir” consists of Lennart Alftrén, Klas Camling and Mats Wickén . We played in a rock’n roll band ( CARRIONS and LAVIONS) during the sixties and did all grow up in Sweden in and around the city of Karlstad. Mats still lives there. Klas and Lennart have, since the last 35 years, lived in the city of Stockholm and Lund respectively.
The reason for still making a record at this stage in life both that this is incredibly fun and that we simply during the years have made many hundreds of songs and we feel that a lot of these are so good that others might be interested in our music. Of course the songs are influenced by the music made and played during the sixties and the seventies, especially by Hollies, Beatles, Beach Boys, Kinks and Bee Gees. We do believe that there is a big space for this type of music, especially regarding people in our own age, but also from younger generations. Actually the first rock generation, which is quite unbelievable, has reached retirement age! <><>
On our home page (www.musiconair.se) you can read our history and also listen to some old sound tracks written by us.
After around five years of working in our own tempo and in different studios a full length CD will be released during 2009. Remaining work is final mix and some smaller adjustments on a few songs. The name of the CD will be “Final call” which also is the name of
the suggestive last song. At first, however, we have released a maxi singel consisting of the four songs:"One step two", "Back to the future", "Carolina dreamin.." and "Picture of you".
