The Glasshouse Music Project is run by Kevin Brown (The Beautiful South) and Matt Evans (The Mars Patrol), and provides practice and recording facilities in an educational environment for local bands. We currently run Guitar, Bass, Drum, Vocal and DJ workshops with Percussion workshops coming soon. We also put on gigs in local venues every 2 months to give bands the opportunity to play in a live situation to an audience.
In the near future, Glasshouse will be expanding in to the music scene's in both Edinburgh and Glasgow, and will also work closely with the bands on contacting record labels, management companies and both local and national booking agencies.
The main aim of Glasshouse is to give local bands the opportunity to take the first steps in the professional music business, and to help them achieve as much as possible on their journeys as musicians.

The Venue
The Glasshouse Music Project has now opened it's doors as a new music venue in Alloa, Scotland. We will be presenting different acts on a monthly basis from all around the country. The event will be managed by Glasshouse Entertainment, but the headlining band will be responsible for the promotion, production and ticket sales. If you would like to be considered to play, here are the criteria to follow: Headline act: To be considered for a headline slot you must be able to sell at least 50 tickets. You will be in charge of all promotion regarding the gig (we can display posters/flyers supplied by you and can sort out local press). You will also need to work on the production of your show eg. stage setup, lighting, backdrop etc (the visual experience). Backline will be supplied but you are welcome to bring your own. Support: To be considered for a support slot you must be able to sell at least 25 tickets. We will match you with an appropriate headlining act, and will put you in touch with them to make arrangements regarding the event. Backline will be provided or shared with the other band. More info: For more information or to request a gig date, please contact either Kevin Brown or Matt Evans. Alternitavely, you can send us a MySpace message. You MUST be able to present either a CD of material or a valid MySpace link with audio player.
Note: Drugs or Alcohol will NOT be permitted or tolerated within the venue.
