Things to know:
Guitar/mandolin player, Peter Daems, and the didgeridoo player, Thim Vandecauter, form the base, the body of Tantra.
Even though the band was formed in 2000 it took some time and exploration in various music styles before the band turned out to be what it is now, a band of brother-in-arms. The fiddler, bass player, drummer/percussionist and the 2 friends mentioned above do work very close together to write their songs. They write their own music which is a psychedelic mix of folk, world and soundscapes. The music can be trance and dance orientated but can also be modest and full of melancholy. From day one they had the label Trance Folk glued to their music, but to the band itself, their music is more World Fusion.
In Belgium Tantra did play all major folk festivals and events: Folkfestival Dranouter, Deerlycke Folk, Brossella, Jong Folk, Christmas Folk, Wereld Feesten with every time a good response from the crowd and good reviews in the press. One knows, once youve been under their spell, they can deliver the goods for you.

Tantra has recently recorded a first album, totally DIY: Setting up gear in bedrooms and mixing at home resulted in a CD which gives you a picture what Tantra is all about: pure emotion and love for music and sound.
