Tension is a 3 piece alternative Rock band that began in 2005. They began playing covers to bands such as; Green Day, The All-American Rejects, Dio, and many others. Tension consisted of a drummer, a bass player and Dan Edwards playing guitar and singing. After they aquired a new drummer (Mitch Lozier), Tension grew by cyber promotion and released a few songs on their first EP in 2008, "Failing Crazy". After playing a month long concert series to promote their new EP, they slowed down and started playing larger scale concerts at a famous venue in Poughkeepsie, New York called The Chance Theater. After two concerts there they headlined for the first time at The Platinum Lounge in Poughkeepsie, New York. Due to continuing disagreements and bad concert at The Platinum Lounge, their bassist dropped from the band in August of 2009. In October of 2009, Tension got back together again with a new bass player, Gabe Strohm. Now, Tension has plenty of new material that is in the process of recording and is playing various live shows.
