Our mission is to use the power of song and video to promote the gift of music as it was intended. Melodical Hearts will continue to team with high profile recording artists, athletes, and television personalities to bring awareness to foster care, adoption, addictions/abuse, illness, and many other relevant societal concerns. We are made up of voices raised in unity, voices not content to accept the status quo, and who are willing to use our gifts and successes to make a difference. We will also support and highlight the many great foundations and organizations who unite in these causes. We will provide recruitment tools for seminars, PSA’s, and conferences, as well as strong outreach with a unique and powerful approach via radio, television, and all media outlets.
INDEPENDENT ARTISTS REBEL WITH A CAUSE
Like you, I have been blessed in many ways, the most significant of which was the adoption of my 3 boys Kyle, Keenan, and Danny. I was also blessed with a Nashville career and signed with Atlantic Records Nashville, remaining on its roster until its closing. It certainly was hard to be away from my kids when on tour, but my stint with Atlantic led to many friendships in the business, allowing me to work with many of its artists. However, I didn’t feel as though what I was doing was making a difference. Those tour buses, as nice as they are, can be lonely places void of reason. Also, having been "guilty by association" to the Nashville machine, I am saddened by its monopolization in many ways, allowing very few independent artists a chance to be heard
I will try to keep this short, but you know how we artists are! LOL
Soon after becoming an "indie", I was so excited to be able to merge my love for music and my passion for adoption. We produced the song/video "God Bless the Children" with amazing friends like Taylor Swift, The Statler Brothers' Jimmy Fortune, The Kentucky Headhunters, The Jordanaires, etc. What an honor this was, and what a difference this song/video has made, being used as PSA's in seminars throughout the country. This project also led to a call from the Tiger Woods camp and PGA Golfer Kirk Triplett, also a dad of adopted children. He encouraged me to do more of these projects, as he too had seen its impact and suggested the formation of this foundation. I confess to you freely this was NOT on my agenda, since I know little about such and am hardly sufficient in administrative duties. Additionally, as a boastful dad of handsome black children, it is yet another quiet ambition (though not so "quiet" anymore LOL), to offer a place for more diversity in country music. (I’ll hear about that, I’m sure.) This importance/significance of varied ethnicity is evident upon review of the "God Bless the Children" video.
I am again gracious to use the powerful marriage between music and making a difference in this project about foster care/adoption, as it is designed by both this foundation and the many independent artists like you. Also a thrill is uniting the power of independent artists and allowing them to be heard alongside superstars as deserved, while allowing promotion of music and great causes.
I confess also that in my case, with regard to the "illumination of my intelligence"...well, I set the example of why many of us singers are often told to shut up and sing, As such, myself and this foundation would love to hear your ideas. I have learned to believe in the strength in numbers.
I again apologize for the lengthiness here, but with you being a possible part of this project, I wanted to offer an honest introduction.
God bless you for all you do,
Wayne Warner
"Music That Matters: Project 50 Files" is an upcoming CD/DVD musical compilation aiming to eliminate the classification of being "files" from children in need of adoption by reminding the world that they are much more than a simple manila folder forgotten inside of a cold, metal drawer; they are unique, loving children longing for a home. This personification is largely achieved through the title song "50 Files", a beautiful ballad which expresses a child's desire to transform from a neglected file into a son/daughter welcomed into the unconditionally loving arms of a "forever family". The compilation album will feature songs from many of your favorite artists who have been touched by foster care/adoption or have played a role in its advocacy. Among the artists confirmed are Reba McEntire, Dolly Parton, Lee Ann Womack, Mark McGuinn, and Steven Curtis Chapman, with many more to follow.
To complement this celebrity edition, The Melodical Hearts Foundation has extended the opportunity for each state/region to be represented with its own compilation album intertwining its own residential artists with the two star-studded songs "God Bless the Children" and "Dare the World".
This rare opportunity allows select New York, Delaware, Maryland, and New Jersey artists/bands the chance to have their music featured on an album with high-profile artists including Taylor Swift, Bryan White, Jimmy Fortune (Statler Brothers), Kevin Sharp, John Berry, Elvis' legendary Jordanaires, and many more. The Melodical Hearts Foundation looks forward to working with the wonderful artists who are lending their vocal talents to make the "Music
that Matters: New York/Delaware/Maryland/New Jersey" CD compilation a unique blend of sound and style that will be sure to appease a variety of country fans throughout the state.
