Hello again - here's what we got up to in the month of March:
Sarah Holt talked to Guillemots guitarist, MC Lord Magrao, about their new album, 'Red' (Link)
What Would Jesus Drive are one of the true bands you need to watch in 2008, thinks Hugh Platt (link)
Sarah Holt also spoke to a couple of bands you might not have heard of (but damn well should've!) - Cut Off Your Hands (link) and Cazals (link)
And since they've gone up in the world since we last had a word, we caught up with Angus & Julia Stone as they got off touring with Newton Faulkner (link)
We had some reviews too (as per usual):
The new Rage Sessions gigs both delighted and bored us in equal measure (link)
David Harrison was anything but offended by Does It Offend You, Yeah? (link)
And our new man in New York, Andrew Lin, managed to piss off a whole bunch of Counting Crows fans with his review of their secret show at the Blender Theater. You don't want to miss this.
Speaking of controversy, our editor had his ranting hat on this month. Not only did he growl at the NME after sitting though the shambles of their awards "ceremony" (link), but this week he's been growling at the Secondary Ticket Market, aka Online Touts, and how the UK music industry seems to have stuck its collective head in the same over this (link)
Incidentally, if there are any budding writers/reviewers out there who fancy writing for Music Towers, drop us a MySpace message or email hugh@musictowers.com . We can't promise to pay you (at the moment) but you'll get free gigs and records.
And finally, we've opened up our advertising in order to make it a bit more relevant to us - if you fancy getting your message across to our 30,000 unique hits every month, click here for details.
PS: Boy Kill Boy have a new album out next week - we've been running a series of min-documentaries they sent us about it - check out the first (of four) right here
Next month...Where's the Pop? Where's the Metal? In Music Towers during April, that's where...
Who I'd like to meet: I would like to meet... Elton John playing twister, Keith Richards dancing to Europop, The Cheeky Girls playing scrabble, Ice T doing whatever the hell he wants.
