Anything that rocks. From unsigned bands to the biggest artists.
Is music your vice?
Heroes
Billie Joe Armstrong and Green Day. Nimrod, then Dookie, were two albums that got me through high school and changed my life. In many ways they saved my life. Music Vice would not exist were it not for Green Day - and I would not have travelled and seen over a thousand bands already, which is a passion that keeps my pockets empty but my mind and soul pumping.
I consider Billie Joe to be one of the most underrated songwriter's of all time. I'm not unshamed to consider him a hero.
Music Vice is an independent rock magazine/webzine, first estalbished in 2002 in the UK, then found online since 2004 at MusicVice.com. The editor and founder is Brian Banks, who in 2006 jumped on a plane from bonny wee Scotland with nothing but a suitcase and a guitar to discover the music scene in Canada!
Music Vice is now active in North America and currently covering shows in Toronto & Hamilton & the GTA & Montreal in Canada, and also active in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Michigan. There is also some coverage from the UK and we're working on finding more contributors in more places!
As of August 12, 2008 Music Vice is now active on Myspace and accepting friends. Hazaah!
Check out My Tour! A feature-length indepedent rock doc movie about bands in the MySpace decade. Created by Music Vice editor Brian Banks.

Music Vice is an independent voice for music. If you like what we do, then you can help our voice grow by telling a friend about our site, adding us to your top friends on MySpace, subscribing to our feed or maybe adding a link to our site on your blog page...
thankyou nahh he didnt sound that good through the gasmask...he only had it on for the intro though and so he did sound better with it off! looked pretty scary though! hahaa
Thank you for adding us to your friends. You will be happy to know that as friends, it is customary for us to pass on to you a survival tip. Here it is: If you are ever stranded in a place that bamboo is growing, you can cut the bamboo above the 'knuckle' of the stem of the plant (which is pretty much the entire plant, am I right?) and drink the water stored within. If you are going to go for a long walk looking for help, cut a couple of them (the biggest ones) and plug them after filling them with water. There, now that we have that out of the way, it is customary for you to go by our MySpace page and listen to our tracks....letting us know what you think of them after ample time to reflect and possibly discuss the content of said page has elapsed. We hope legal action will not be necessary, seeing as we have made good on our end of the contract. Also, did you know sound is really just invisible waves and if no ear hears it, it really DOESN'T make a 'noise'? Gigs in space...that's for us!!! Ta, T-23
thanks for the message and checking us out! that'd be great if your writer could make it out to the show. please do let me know! thanks for supporting quality bands for music addicts like myself!
I appreciate your kind words. I would love to come tour Canada sometime, dont you guys have that Indie Week thing in Montreal...hm I should look into that.
