About me:
its early days:
if you are interested in being a part of 'music without industry'...
we're all ears...
transparent, interdependent and a completely fair deal to bands/ artists and music fans...
who am i?...i'm a bloke, play guitar in a band (myspace.com/electrasy) - the 'music without industry' concept is something i've been pondering for a while now...figured i'd get off my lazy arse and actually do something about it...
where 'music without industry' goes from here?..."you decide"...
Who I'd like to meet: Bands/ artists who would like to release their music completely independently and directly to fans...
Anyone who would prefer to purchase music directly from artists...
Anyone who would like to get involved in this 'music without industry' concept, please post your thoughts and ideas here on myspace.
...thanks : )
Today, August 28th, marks the 45th anniversary of Dr. King's famous 'I Have A Dream' speech on the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. In celebration of Dr. Kings legacy, you are cordially invited to share 'The Dream III', an R&B tribute which honors the occasion. I wrote it and its sang by a young vocalist Sylvester "Sly" Hines from Louisville, Kentucky.
Tonight we will also observe the official nomination and acceptance speech from the first black presidential nominee, Barack Obama, a remarkable young senator and democrat from the state of Illinois. Please encourage friends, family, peeps, dawgs, associates and colleagues to watch the speech and remember that Dr. King's famous speech exactly 45 years ago and his efforts, in part, made it all possible. I look forward to another famous speech tonight. I also look forward to the culmination and reality of Dr. King's dream in the election of Barrack Obama and sharing the dream with you. Its no coincidence, for through God, all things are possible.
Consider me signed, ye lovely lovely! Much looking forward to listening to the Electrasy album and indeed reviewing it, once I get a quality minute to myself... Hope all's well with everyone - much wuv, Marco x
Do you know much about podcasts? I had an idea 2 make a podcast of unsigned music every week or month or summit. Maybe charge a little a bit for each download? Dunno how 2 market it tho.
