Musikexperience Recordings is a young (D.I.Y) independent record label based in Paris, France dedicated to new and inventive electronic music.
The label was founded 5 years ago by Alex aka DAA, a local musician, dj and event organizer whose goal was to produce music by new and up-in-coming talent that he would like to listen to himself. Impassioned and involved with music for over 15 years, his diverse influences include the begining of the Madchester sound, the start of intelligent techno, independent labels such as K Records and Sub-pop as well as US rap and hip-hop.
The label began as the result of friends just exchanging demos and mix-tapes. In an effort to get these young artists heard by a wider audience, musikexperience Recordings first started by organizing concerts by booking them in well-known venues around Paris.
Musikexperience recordings does not confind itself to one specific type of music. Rather, it choses its artists by the spirit and emotions that they encite. This is why musikexperience Recordings can produce a variety of different types of music while somehow remaining coherent in its discography. In short, it is a label that takes the music, not itself, very seriously, by producing music that it first and foremost believes in.

Andrew Fearn aka Infant is a musician and video artist from Nottingham, England.To better describe Pony, heres what Andrew had to say about the project: Pony is a musical style conceived out of too much time, an inability to play the guitar, being bored of the music scene and a need to make music that we like, oh and a mild/healthy addiction to cannabis. Pony usually consists of one person playing guitar and singing. In the early days Pony was quite ruff stuff, it was more a form of entertainment than music we took seriously, eg, lyrics like Im a pram, I live in Mexico, Im a Mexican Pram. But more recently, Pony has become more detailed. Its recorded better and the words are more together. I personally find it more enjoyable to play live music than to spend all my time sat at my computer screen, although I still enjoy that method of music making. Pony is basically another word for ruff music, but not too ruff. If Jeff Buckley, Nick Drake and Bob Dylan are thoroughbreds, in the world of acoustic guitar playing, than we are Pony. Andrew Fearn Andrew Fearn has released numerous projects on the UK label, Neo Ouija. A long time friend of the producer Geiom (Skam, City Centre Offices, Neo Ouija), he participated on the compilation Cottage Industries Geiom vs Infant Multistories2 as well as two remixes for the EP Geiom Cut & Pressed. His first full-length album Growing-Up appeared on Neo Ouija in 2002. He has also collaborated with musikexperience recordings with a remix of the track Drop appeared on Tlones Vivid Scenes album (me001cd) and he contributed the track Nice Food to the musikexperience recordings compilation Seriously underground shit found in the trunk of a mini parked underneath the Eiffel Tower

Familier de la fameuse équipe de Skam, ce Britannique signe un premier album au parfait équilibre entre les innovations numériques (et parfois bruitistes) de lélectronica et les nécessités groovy du dancefloor. Virevoltant, gorgé dhumour et denthousiasme, empruntant au registre de lélectro, du hip-hop et dune certaine techno raveuse des années 90, ce Ruffled Muffle révèle un producteur particulièrement prometteur.

Production bouillonnante, pléthore de tempos et de boîtes à rythmes, clin d'oeil electro, hip hop ou rave, mélodies en cascade, contorsions en tout genre, Naylor explore ici toutes les variantes du panorama techno. Si l'on frôle quelques rares fois l'indigestion sonore, il possède un joli talent pour composer des titres dancefloor d'une richesse et d'une versatilité qui fait souvent défaut à ses confrères. Rigolo de voir les Anglais de lelectronica trouver asile en France. Passé de mode dans son pays, le genre continue de susciter des vocations chez les artistes ou labels dici. Une petite auberge parisienne accueille ainsi le premier album de Scrubber Fox, alias Gary aylor, électronicien basé à Wigan, proche du label Skam et de Rob Hall dAutechre. Sa musique enivrante ne dépaysera pas les amateurs du label Warp ou dAphex Twin, linventivité barrée et parfois déroutante de Richard James cédant la place à une acidité pas si éloignée des productions techno on pense souvent au ludique Luke Vibert. Les rythmes flirtent aussi avec les tempos du hip hop, du funk ou des humeurs pacifiques de Boards Of Canada. Une excellente surprise dans un genre qui en manque cruellement. Pascal Bertin
