Music.. film/tv buff.. photography.. recording a/v..erotica..Im VERY normal..beauty is in the eye of the beholder..maybe fellas do have two brains. I used to tape a lot, now I disc..animal lover. Any live performance. Still a novice computer wise but boy is it useful.
Music
Almost you name it.. except Punk.. Yes a firm favourite.
All the so called classics rock and pop wise.. has to be good production, thats what Im into. Not a country fan but then.. Eagles are country/rock? Producers, Trevor Horn.
Argent,Deep Purple as was,Santana,Toyah, Girls Aloud production, The Who,Led Zep,Dusty as was,Cilla as was, its all been done now. AWB..list is endless.Love funk.Middle jazz. Chic Korea is a bit out there,Herbie Hancock, Neil Sedaka even. Melody, strings,Scott Walker,Beatles and GM,Hollies, then CS&N.. the road goes on forever...
Movies
Phew.. where to start. Classic sci fi.. 2001..Alien(s)4, Bladerunner.. most Kubrick.. Ridley Scott.. not so keen on adolescent American comedies..but.. depends.Sister Act..with the music..
My dvds have overtaken my vhs now.Recently more concerts than anything.
Television
Sci Fi..Babylon 5, Farscape,Trekkie, comedies.. documentaries..Time Team.. not reality tv, thats a contradiction to me. History..Frasier.. ..decent news.... if I can find it. Daytime tv to a degree.Best stuff often on ITV3 70/80..s.. Lovejoy. Nature.. wonderfully shot. What is it with 9pm... clashing.Viewing figures have to be rubbish. Doc Martin. Randall & Hopkirk original. Reminds me of the 70..s. 60s 70s best time for most music/tv.
Books
Used to read sci fi.. Asmimov.. now its magazines.. trade, music,broadcast..local history.. Concise Oxford Dictionary.
I want Susie Dents Dictionary.
Heroes
Oh dear.. I guess Bruce Lee from word go from a charisma/intellectual point of view.He studied the best arts. Rick Wakeman..I loved the synths.. Nigel Mansell in his day.Satriani/Vai/many guitarists.. Adam Faith early 60..s? Ha!Bob Monkhouse..
Peter Sellers.. OH.. Kenny Everett...maybe he was number one. I was always a tape/recording nut, still am. Now its disc.ITV3 is doing me a favour. Showing what I already had on tape..but satellite is cleaner.
About me: Ive been a muso since aged about 4, grandmas piano, on to first band aged 15..thats when I started learning what Id been playing. Then some guitar as well. Bass isnt difficult but one needs hard fingers.Lots of music about in the early mid sixties my area.. evolved to various hobby bands along the way on organ, then keyboards. Had a good career in tv servicing until the parent company decided to muck it all up and out I came aged 50..just timed out nicely.. so, early retired. I still think music helped carry me through.
Was married from 27-36.. many complications, I gave it a chance but..maybe too long, 18 months into seperation someones wife chased me. Women are amazing when they want to be, to escape.. to change..once I knew the situation, I caved in. Been lonely too long, so after three years and her agenda changed, gone.. that was about it. Why bother. So,I had a real wife, a common law, now, I..ll wait. I..m still here for a reason, part band, part ear for other peoples therapy (unpaid).. I seem to be a charity for some. As long as I have enough to survive, what the heck. I ged fed up with world news, but was it ever much different? I had so many experiences I wondered WHY? Am I to BE a therapist?
Life can be strange. Nothing to fear but fear itself.. well, I have help. I know a good woman would probably sort me out.... hahahaha.. I know the modern meaning of that.
True though. NOW.. I do what I need to do.. gigs less every year due to current trends. Actually I think 2009..s list is roughly the same as 2008 was at the start. SO.. we shall see. It must not COST us to go out. The Heathcote Jam was useful meeting other musos, swapping stories, all much the same. From Feb 11th 2009 I think life will start again. I can hibernate until then no problem. Thats a plus of being an only child.(Cue Mad Mike on violin).. No.. I dont mind. For now.
OK..July 13/14/09..I think I..ll offer my services for on line research.. I..ve been doing a lot lately, and amazed at what i..ve found. People dont have time. I do.
Not much has changed, but I..ve met more interesting and international people on line. Cant have too many friends on line, to find out what else is going on. Just getting over a bad head cold.. not swine flu, fed up with hearing about that.. but..starting to appreciate things again.Good things. We must not forget to smell the roses.. and watch the sunsets and birds. AND FRIENDS.. er food...drink....
Who I'd like to meet: Celeb wise.. Rick Wakeman... but I need to meet a like minded female to share what I have with. Chemistry is everthing.
A couple favors from you please? Could you change in your top friends the site of my band Los Jailbreakers for my personal one (this one)? It has information of my 3 bands!
And would you please emailme whenever you have some time in your hands some pics of last wednesday to my email, stratomateo@hotmail.com?
Well, some things are hilarious - especially when it gets down to politics. Don..t worry. It..s everywhere the same. It..s only a matter of time until stuff like that you enjoy in the UK right now is revealed in GER or F or??? All these funny gals and guys do have the Blues - sadly most of them have..nt realized it yet. Imagine Gordon Brown singing "I got the key to the treasury and fill my pockets until they..ve blown, I got to go to the boarder where I..m not known ;-))
Hi Keith, hope you..re well. Thanks for adding and your kind response. England is a wonderful country with wonderful sites, lovely and supporting people and marvelous Blues jams. I loved playing the former Heathcote Arms now Coach & Horses jam again, especially as this time I could play the opening and closing with the house band. Send my regards to all these nice people I met there. Keep on bluesin.., Best Horst "Nigge" Meyer
