Informazioni su Musquodoboit Family of Schools' Choir
Last year, the students of the Musquodoboit Family of Schools' Choirs chose a selection of songs from rising Canadian artists and performed them in a project called Canada Rocks 2008. We covered material from artists such as Wintersleep, Joel Plaskett, Shotgun Jimmie, Islands, Patrick Watson, Julie Doiron, Feist and many more. We even had the great honor of having Julie Doiron and Shotgun Jimmie grace our stage. They listened to the Choir and then performed a couple of tunes for them as well. The whole project was a huge success! CBC 1 in Halifax, CBC Radio 3 and local media covered the story with great reviews. This year's Canada Rocks event has grown in many ways. Since putting on events such as Canada Rocks, the choir has grown larger. Last year the choir was made up of sixty five students from grades four to six and now there are over ninety students! Along with the growth of the choir there will also be more than one performance. With new artists being covered and gracing our stage, this year's Canada Rocks Project will be sure to educate, celebrate and rock your socks off!! The 2009 Canada Rocks Season is over however stay tuned for some bonus material from the concerts (Visual and Audio). Here are some videos made by artists we covered thanking the choir.
