About me:

.. *******My wife and I love our 2006 Mustang Roush tribute coupe. We are proud members of the Mustang Club of America, active members of the Sandhills Mustang Club of Fayetteville, Hope Mills, and Ft. Bragg (+ surrounding areas) in NC, being previous members with the Chrome Pony Mustang Club of Elizabeth City, NC. We are proud to be a part of United Stangs. We love car shows and cruise-in events, charity support, and meeting up with fellow auto fans. *******We love to get outside, and travel, when we can, and I enjoy photography, as well as cooking. We spend time watching TV together or cuddling on the couch for a movie quite often. Going out to eat is always a good time, wether it is a quite and romantic spot or a fun and lively meal at Hooters. We like going to events and trying new things, but quite evenings are a peaceful and special time. *******I have a varied background that includes being a chaplain at a veteran's hospital and nursing home, years of working in hospice care with terminally ill patients and their families, as a child protective services investigator, once at a retirement community, and even a job in textile work with DuPont. *******I don't like liars and people who are fake, smiling to your face and talking junk behind your back. I strive not to judge, but I'm definitely opinionated. And, I do not push my beliefs on anyone. I'll give you the shirt off my back to help you. And, I believe that sometimes going out of the way to help someone is really the way we're meant to go in the first place. We make great friends, but those that hurt us will quickly bounce to the wayside. Life is too short for drama and unwarranted heartbreak... either from so-called friends or good-for-nothing kinfolks.

Who I'd like to meet:

I enjoy meeting new people and staying connected with old friends. Mustang enthusiasts and car show participants are, for the most part, fun and interesting people to meet. I most like doing charity and fundraiser types of volunteer or professional work, as you tend to meet extraordinary people. Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby would be great people to meet. I love their Mustangs! Chuck Yeager is a hero for me, as well as any of the first astronauts. I've had the pleasure of meeting many celeberties and sport stars, as I enjoy collecting autographs. I'm a big fan of Chip Foose, so I'd like to meet him and see some of his art work and get an autograph. Oh, yeah, and he can overhaul my car any day! I enjoy meeting senior adults, especially veterans, and listening to their stories. For some reason or another, I did well in history... ya'think! They have a wealth of first hand experiences to share about... and each day they become fewer.

Stang Collage 6-23-09 >>>>>>>>>>> >>>>>>>>>>> I make custom digital or printed collage art of cars. Be sure to check out my Collages photo album here on Myspace. >>>>>>>>> Hi! If you live in the Carolinas or the region and would like to get a listing of some of the car shows, cruise-ins, or events going on send me a message here on Myspace or request to "add friend." And, if you know of other events please feel free to share them with me and I'll include them, too! Always happy to share this kind of information to help others connect with opportunities on showing their cars, getting their clubs involved, or to come out and spectate... it's all about enjoying life! Live well... Love much... and laugh often! *******We're fun loving people who enjoy classic to modern era American muscle cars. Pet dogs are a passion, as well. We love North Carolina from the beaches to the mountains and will probably always make our home here, as we've lived in many parts of the state at one time or another already. We enjoy the outdoors and I love photography. We enjoy cooking, as well as dining out. It is the simple to romantic little things that life offers that brings us the most joy. True family and friends are important to us. We also like being a part of activities that are genuine, encouraging, and include charity support. ..
  • Music

Heavy Metal, Hard Rock, some pop, some country, 50's doo-wop, 60's R&B, SOME 80's & 90's to modern, and something mixed in-between. I'm turned off by music played where you can't hear yourself think and any songs that glorify thugs, crime, or putting down women.
  • Movies

Sci-fi, action/adventure, thrillers, war flicks, comedy, zombies, and Disney if in the mood. I am really into WWII movies, John Wayne, Clint Eastwood, and James Bond movies.
  • Television

Pinks All Out, Overhaulin', Unique Whips, West Coast Customs, American Chopper, Mecum and Barrett-Jackson Auto Auctions, Still Standing, Everybody Loves Raymond, Scrubs, Daily Show, Colbert Report, Hell's Kitchen, Top Chef, Anthony Bourdain's "No Reservations", Bizzare Foods with Andrew Zimmeran, Iron Chef, Food Network Star, Chopped, 'Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives', travel shows, The Military Channel and The History Channel, re-runs of M*A*S*H, Hogan's Heroes, Bah Bah Blacksheep, Combat!, Tour of Duty and the like. >>>>>Turn-offs and/or immediate channel changes include Oprah, Tyra Banks, Dr. Phil, The View, Rosie, Ellen, Nancy Grace, queer shows, Jerry Springer-type junk, and crap like that.
  • Books

Car and gun magazines are the main stays now after all of the years of education and reading so many books.
  • Heroes

Dad answered roll call in Heaven on 4-19-07. My Dad... American Hero. My wife, my Mom, my sister, my late Father, our Military Service men and women, ALL of the veterans, public servants (Police, Fire, Rescue, Medical, Social Workers, Courts, etc.) who make a difference and are people of true integrity in what they do, are big in my book! Chuck Yeager and Scott Crossfield, as well as any of the early flight astronauts, are people I admire. Dale Earnhardt Sr., Mustang pioneers like Jack Roush and Carroll Shelby, and Chip Foose in his car designs and bringing them to life are important figures to me. President Teddy Roosevelt as a leader and conservationist, Clint Eastwood in his acting career, and, of course, John Wayne are larger than life kind of people for me. >>>>>The long ANTI-HEROES list for me includes, but is not limited to, (don't read if you're easily offended): those that push their beliefs on others, exploits others, the ACLU, PETA, Greenpeace, Al Gore, Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, Malcolm X and his Nation of Islam, Rainbow Coalition, liars, stupid judges that let criminals off with small sentences or little slaps to the wrists, extremists, gangs, religious fanatics, fake TV evangelists, mormon fundamentalists, Jehovah Witnesses, cultists, Nazis, skin heads, klan idiots, communists, terrorists, gossips, bullies, thieves, unchanging alcoholics and drug addicts, welfare addicts/abusers, faggots, those that murder, unrehabilitated criminals, DUI idiots, people who text and drive or talk on cell phones and drive that cause accidents and hurt or kill others, molesters, rapists, child or senior neglecters/abusers. If you find yourself listed, too bad. I have dislikes based on my own experiences and beliefs. If you're on the list, then don't bother requesting me to add you as a friend. Enough said! Move along!
