They say that powerful and in-your-face tharsh´n´roll is born where the borders between thrash and black metal become meaningless, thus finally filling the aching void left in the history of local hard and heavy music by the previous lack of a truly original, professional and monstrous proto-extreme metal band. Must Missa with their ruthless, mean and ironic message have via several style-searchings and line-up-changes marched upon the metal stages of the Baltics in order to stay.
The past of the all-stars power trio is hectic; established in 1996, Must Missa broke out of a semi-rural Kilingi-Nõmme rehearsal basement and into international metal undergraound with their own brand of Scandinavic primitive black metal featured on the demo "Sex Beyond the Grave" recorded in 2000 and released a year later as a cooperative effort of Latvian label Beverina Productions and the German Ketzer Records. The demo sold out in a staggeringly shor time, but managed to reach the British label Parasite Records, who were more than impressed by it and sent the band to studio. Having evolved closer to the spirit of early black metal, Must Missa recorded a full length material in 2002, but Parasite Records had ceased to exist by then. After long negotiations the material was finally released by a Spanish label Death To Mankind as the album titled "Ma ei talu valgust" (I Can´t Stand the Light).
Today only bassist/vocalist Viking, who started out as a guitarist, has remained from the original line-up, and juiciness of sound as well as roaring black humour have been added to the rage and bitterness of their early style. Drenched in sweat, blood, adrenaline and testosterone, the unstoppable Must Missa dashes on; soon a long-awaited thrash´n´roll album "The Target Of Hate" will be available. The album will feature eight tracks of old school thrash metal with a pinch of end-of-the-eighties black metal.
