Described as "having just the right amount of danger", mute8's unique blend of sounds are a compilation of gutsy, rifling guitar riffs and moody ripples of emotional discourse. Lyrically leaving almost no subject matter unturned, mute8 sends out messages wrapped in Northern melancholy, daunting beauty and volatile angst.

mute8's music is the result of a collaboration between the two founding members of the band - Jone (guitar) & Sanna (vocals). Based in Helsinki, Finland, the 4-piece rock band formed at the beginning of January 2005, with its present line-up dating from December 2007.
Jone has an extensive history in song writing with his roots stemming from the rise of the punk era in Finland, being the original founder of the legendary underground punk band 'Widows' at a very young age. Throughout the years his style has reshaped itself over & remoulded & matured, whilst retaining that earlier rawness.
Sanna found the talented guitarist almost by chance in February 2005, after moving to Finland from Australia several years earlier. mute8 is her first band. Her vocals have been compared to a spectre of well known singers ranging from Patty Smith to Shakira and she has even been referred to as a 'female Billy Idol'.
Jukkis joined the duo just under a year after the songwriters met. Jukkis plays the bass like no other setting the mood, an underlining atmosphere in mute8. Despite his young age Jukkis has an incredibly vast background in musicianship.
Petteri, the most recent member of the family, joined mute8 in December 2007. He has played with the cream of Finnish bands & artists for several years. His expertise on the drums drives a sturdy rhythm belting out the pulse & heart rate of mute8.
Concerned about the well being of children across the globe, mute8 recently volunteered their time and efforts for an international children's charity organization which ultimately saw a performance at the Rock Against Child Abuse benefit concert staged at Nosturi, Helsinki, Finland 19.1.2008.

we have two new albums we want you to know and listen, ANNE O, the group from Valencia come back 8 years after their last album with a new one and multiplying per 10 anything made before, much more brute, much more blunt..... MIGRAINE, present their second album "plague" a real sonic steamroller, it will only be advisable for those ears able to stand hard emotions...check it yourself otherwise, I have uplouded two singles and hope you can help me comment what do you think about them. As the weather has really taken a turn toward an early winter (our nights are cold - in the 20's!), I've been itching to get back to serious song writing. I've made some progress...
