About me: What can I tell ya? I'm the creative type - musician, artist, writer, photographer, editor, historian, Hesh-of-many-trades and master of ... well, some of them. Yet I have a real job, a real life, a silly sense of humor, an artist's eye when it comes to looking at the world, a passion for history, an endless repository of knowledge both useful and useless, a sense of the spiritual without wearing it on my sleeve, and a wild streak that may not be evident right away. I'm a proud and committed Jew and staunch supporter of Israel. I come from a modern Orthodox Jewish background and I do keep Shabbat and kosher, but I've reached a point in life where my connection to Jewish roots and observance is more focused on personal and spiritual experience than strict adherence to the rules.
