EAK

EAK was formed in October 2001, but the lack of a suitable rehearsal room saw the band members quickly put the project on hold. After a few years they met again just to remember old times, but quickly the chemistry felt led to a musical evolution that needed exposure to the outside world. After constant rehearsals and shows, they finally found a solid line-up after the departure of vocalist and bassist, moving the band to be formed by - Jorge and Carlos on guitar, Helder on bass, Ricardo on drums and Paulo's voice - practicing a unorthodox sound, and having no desire to be labeled, they self define their genre as "musclecore." So far they recorded one EP. "3 Steps To Nothing" (2003) an author edition album "Musclecore" (2006), and a split with Crushing Sun (Bipolar) this last has the official seal of a publisher (Major Label Industries) which has a huge reaction by both public and press. By now with wide kilometers of road, they wait with anxiety the new album "Muzeak."

EAK formou-se em Outubro de 2001, mas a falta de um local de ensaio adequado viu os membros da banda rapidamente colocarem o projecto em espera. Após alguns anos reuniram- se novamente apenas para relembrar velhos tempos, mas a química sentida rapidamente levou a uma evolução musical que precisava de exposição ao mundo exterior. Após os ensaios constantes e shows, finalmente encontraram um line-up sólido, depois da saída do vocalista e baixista, passando então a banda a ser formada por - Jorge e Carlos na guitarra, Hélder no baixo, Ricardo na bateria e Paulo na voz – praticando uma sonoridade pouco ortodoxa, e sem vontade de terem rótulo musical, auto definem a seu género como «musclecore». Até agora gravaram um EP. «3 Steps To Nothing» (2003) um álbum edição de autor «Musclecore» (2006),e um split com Crushing Sun (Bipolar) este ultimo já com a chancela de uma editora (Major Label Industries) que tem uma enorme reacção de parte do público e imprensa. Neste momento já com largos quilómetros de estrada, espera-se com ansiedade o novo álbum «Muzeak».
