About me:

..

I am a single dad of a terrific little red-headed boy. I just wish I could see him more often, since he lives with his mother and not me... As you may have figured out already, I have a little more than a passing interest in Pro Wrestling. I have built a few websites related to wrestling (WrestleTalkRadio.com and WildTalkRadio.com) and host a live Sunday night "talk show".

In addition to that, I have produced Stampede Wrestling Internet Television, hosted on Wrestling Media Network, and attempt to provide play-by-play :) This was a thrill of sorts for me: I stepped in to the spot a great family friend, the late, great Ed Whalen used to do with Stampede. He was one of the best announcers ever in wrestling, if a bit naive to the sport... (In fact, every time I hear good ole JR on Raw, I get reminded of Ed all the time: A lot of the stuff Jim Ross says, Ed Whalen said it first: "A ring-a-ding-dong-dandy!"; anything he says with "From Pillar To Post"; "Slobberknocker"; "malfunction at the junction!", and a lot of other witticisms and catchphrases attibuted to JR actually came from Eddie Whalen wa-ay back in the late '70s/early '80s when Stampede Wrestling was syndicated worldwide, before McMahon bought it out from Stu Hart.) I'm glad Stampede got back to doing shows again (several years agao) and are still going strong.

I guess it's no surprise what my interests and hobbies have led me to do: I was born into a "media" family, and actually started appearing on (local)tv at the ripe old age of 3...

Some day, I wanna write a book, get all the TNA Knockouts to appear at Stampede, be a grandfather (get married first, Owen....) and live FOREVER....(ya, right). Growing old may be mandatory, but growing up is optional, and you can call me a Toys R Us kinda kid... ;)

Who I'd like to meet:

Interesting question... I don't really have a "thing" for meeting people, but I get a kick when people say they want to meet me....

I have met so many different people in my life, famous and not-so-much: Christopher Norris (a woman named Christopher... -- she played "Nurse Ripples" in Trapper John, MD in the 80's), Howie Mandell, Rich Little, Bill Cosby, Bryan Adams, some mob guys from New York who wanted to party with me when I was a nightclub deejay, Alberta Premiere, Ralph Klein (he used to work for my dad when he was a repoter), jim "The Anvil" Neidhart, "Bad News" Allen/Brown (whom I now consider a friend, as well as color-man for UWN Underground), Doug Flutie, Doug Gilmore, Theo Fleury, Lanny MacDonald -- pretty much most all of the Calgary Flames from the late 80's early 90's, and so many more...
