About me: Who Is Chris The Attraction Marketer…
Well let me start by introducing myself. My name is Chris Carpenter; I am the Attraction Marketer. Now I have not always been Chris the Attraction Marketer. I use to be Chris the Miserable Retail Manager. I will have more on all of that later.
As I was saying my name is Chris Carpenter I am 39 years old, and the proud father of three wonderful children. My beautiful wife and I reside in sunny California. I have been in slavery… I mean retail management for over 15 years. I had gotten burnt out on all the long hours, minimal pay, and company B.S... Deep inside I knew there had to be a better way to creating wealth.
So like many other before me I turned to the internet. I have been involved in network marketing / MLM in one form or another for more than 6 years now. Like most people I struggled with it, never making much money. Now if that is not an understatement I don’t know what is. It is more like I was over 20K in debt and about to lose everything that I loved. I had purchased every so called GURU book and e-course out there and joined every so called get rich quick scam out there. Oh they all sounded so Great and Wonderful. Just sign up and do nothing and watch the cash come rolling in. No recruiting or chasing friends and family just plug into our Puff the Magic Dragon System and be a millionaire in the morning. I am sure many of you can relate to this.
It always seemed that I was paying more for the monthly subscription than what I was bringing in. Then once you were in the nickel and dimming didn’t stop there it was it was join our coop for just $500 per share you will get Laser targeted leads, more like laser targeted to my wallet. For another $50 per month get our capture page and on and on it just never ended. I had done a lot of marketing for all these programs and nothing really seemed to work. I had thought of quitting many times, but something inside of me just wouldn't let me give up. I guess it is that entrepreneurial spirit. I just knew if I just persevered that I would find what I had been looking for.
Then one day I get this email from this guy doing Attraction Marketing training and list building via a live web broadcast. I had heard of Attraction Marketing before, but wasn’t quit sure what is exactly. I thought to myself well it’s just one more dead end to check out. So I emailed this guy to find out how much it was going to cost me. Boy was I surprised when he said that it was FREE. I almost missed this, because I had a prior engagement, but as luck would have it, those plans got canceled and I was able to attend.
So at 6:00pm I logged onto this web call, not expecting much for being free and all. This web room allows chat and also shows the number of people in the room. When I first looked there were about 25 people then a few minutes later there were 50 then 60 then well over 100 people. I couldn’t believe how many people were attending this thing. At about 6:05pm the main speaker came on and he started in about himself and where he came from and everything. Boy could I relate to this dude, it was like our marketing careers paralleled each others except for the part that he was making 5-6 figures and I was making 0. Anyway this training went on for a little over an hour. He jam-packed it with great content. You know the stuff that you can really use right out of the box. It wasn’t the usually BS, that didn’t give you all the pieces to the puzzle.
The next day I got another email from him asking what I thought of the training. Here it comes I thought to myself, now is when he tells me for a fee I can keep coming to these trainings. I told him that I thought that is was great and that I learned a lot. Then he did something that I would have never expected and quit frankly took me by surprise. He gave me a listing of times and dates for the weekly webinars and also told me to bring along anyone else I thought would benefit from this. I emailed back what is the catch? He said no catch it’s all free and all we ask is that sometime down the line if you resonate with what we are doing that you join us in one of our programs. He also said that we work on the honor system and to get back to the person who invited you. I couldn’t believe it a guru not leading with his primary business, but leading with free training. Not any training, but real world application. Everything from Attraction marketing to Web 2.0, MySpace, Twitter, Blogger, You Tube, Craig’s List, press releases, article marketing, list building and the list goes on and on.
