Singer / Songwriter Michael Wayne Smith is the writer of the Top 40 hits “My Home” and “Lord I Thank You For The Valley”. The song “My Home” reached the number 1 position at many radio stations across the country in 2005 and has become a standard in many churches today. In October 2008, Michael released a new solo project on the Church House Music record label. The new project, Welcome Home, was produced by Shane Roark and contains all new songs that Michael has written. The first single, “The Reason That I Sing”, is now playing at radio stations across the country. Shane had this to say about Michael and the new project, “I have found it to be more than a pleasure to work with Michael. His love for God and the music that he has written has made this project one of my all time favorites. I have personally added this CD to my collection.” He went on to say, “I am inspired by the music that is on this project and am excited to see what God has in store for this new artist. I am sure it will be a blessing to all who hear it and it is my prayer that everyone will get a chance to experience Michael Wayne Smith in the way I have.” From late 2001 until February 2008, Michael was involved in the worship ministry at his home church, Faith Promise Church, until he felt the call to step down and allow God to open new doors. Since then, Michael has been traveling from place to place sharing the music that God has given him. As confirmation that he made the right decision, in his first solo concert many folks were seen at the alter and one individual received salvation. Michael and his wife, Kelley, have two daughters, Kerri and Kasey. Michael and Kelley have been married for 16 years and have seen both good and bad times in their life together. Through each challenge, whether it was Michael’s job loss in 2004 or the time they almost lost Kasey at birth, they have always trusted God and seen His mercy and grace. Many of Michael’s songs are products of life experiences that God has allowed in his life. The new album features one of Michael’s favorite songs that he has written, called “Everything’s Fine”. This song has already become the favorite of his listeners as well. It’s a simple song of encouragement that everyone can relate to. It simply says that no matter what you’re going through, you have a friend in Jesus and if you trust Him, you know that everything will be fine. When you attend an evening of ministry by this new artist, you will be blessed and encouraged and, without a doubt, you will be glad you came.

We are finalizing all the details for him,Ken and Rick Lenzi to do two concert venues..."Reflections of Elvis" and "Tribute To The King And Thee King of Kings" Also working dilgently on writing projects. I would love to get some of those fliers you had out on table the other night...to put along with cd's...I will be out promoting this program within the next two weeks and would love to tell them about you too.

WE WERE IN DISBELIEF,STUNNED,PERPLEXED,OVERWHELMED WITH GRIEF. THE HORRIFIC IMAGES REPLAY IN OUR MINDS OF THE COMMERCIAL JETS CRASHING INTO THE WORLD TRADE CENTER...AND THE DEVISTATION IT CAUSED...OUR HEARTS HURT FOR THE MANY PEOPLE THAT LOST FAMILY MEMBERS,FRIENDS,COWORKERS AND THE BRAVE FIREMEN,POLICEMEN, RESCUE WORKERS AND VOLUNTEERS. WE WERE EMOTIONALLY IN A STATE OF CONFUSION AND DISBELIEF.
AS A CHRISTIAN I REMEMBERED THAT NOT ONLY DID WE HAVE TO PRAY FOR THOSE WHO LOST FAMILY AND FRIENDS,RESCUE WORKERS,OUR PRESIDENT BUT ALSO I HAD TO PRAY FOR OUR ENEMIES...I KNOW THAT IS HARD TO ACCEPT...THERE WILL ALWAYS BE AN ELEMENT OF MYSTERY IN RELATION TO OUR COMPREHENSION OF GOD AND HIS PURPOSE...ESPECIALLY IN CRISIS. I have been working diligently on writing projects this summer. I love the "Heart Right Inspirational Workbook Series" I hope one day to sell it in book stores,churches,schools and at seminars...and ideally at the Inspirational concerts...hint,hint!
