Punk rock records, music, going to shows, reading, writing, taking pictures, pinball, video games, movies, Potbellys!, and the usual crap like that.
Music
Punk Rock (the REAL punk rock from the 70s/80s, not that mall rock crap), gothic, industrial, metal. The list of bands that I like would fill an entire page and it woulnd't even scratch the surface. While punk rock is my flavor of choice, my favorite band on earth is Skinny Puppy! My love also for the Cure and Bauhaus knows few equals. You can check out my websites to see a good example of the old punk rock that I love and grew up on and there is a handful of new bands around these days that I have a fair amount of love for like Curl Up and Die, These Arms Are Snakes, Since By Man, Isis, Pelican, Milemarker, and others.
Because I'm bored at the moment, I'll make a list of only a fraction of what I love:
Skinny Puppy, The Germs, Husker Du, Social Distortion, The Plugz, The Cure, Bauhaus, Since By Man, These Arms Are Snakes, Curl Up and Die, Mighty Sphincter, Sunshine, JFA, The Faction, The Cheifs, Black Flag, The Minutemen, Circle Jerks, Ministry, Einsturzende Neubauten, Pailhead, Foetus, Misfits (only the old stuff), Sex Pistols. THE DAMNED, 999, Minor Threat, Monitor, Adolescents, DI, Peace Corpse, Government Issue, Pelican, Distorted Pony, Halo of Flies, Tar, Political Justice?, Dead Fink, Happy Toons, Insane War Tomatoes, Blatant Dissent, Articles of Faith, Bonemen of Barumba, Bad Brains, Avengers, Gang Green, Black Randy and his Metrosquad, Deadbeats, X, The Weirdos, Slayer, Anthrax, Black Sabbath, The Beatles, Led Zeppelin, AC/DC, Cheap Trick, Kiss (only with makeup!), Metallica (only Master of Puppets and earlier), The Stooges, Front 242, My Life With The Thrill Kill Kult (only the early stuff, not the gay disco records), Wiseblood, Legendary Pink Dots, The Blood Brothers, Milemarker, Slint, Rodan, June of '44, Shorty, Dazzling Killmen, Meat Puppets, Buzzcocks, Tackhead, Babes in Toyland, Sacred Denial, Adrenalin OD, Bedlam, Dr. Know, Flower Leperds, RKL, NOFX (really the early stuff only), Descendents, Agent Orange, Dag Nasty, DOA, Generation X, Dead Boys, Pigface, Ohgr, Neurosis, Isis, Oxbow, The Tear Garden, Miranda Sex Garden, Butthole Surfers, Big Hat, Naked Raygun, Big Black, Rapeman, The Effigies, Subverts, DA, Orchid, Racebannon, Pageninetynine, Vox Pop, White Flag, The Undead, The Teds, The Big Boys, The Next, Die Kreuzen, Teen Idles, F, Nine Inch Nails, Marilyn Manson (a guilty pleasure until their last album which sucked ass), At The Drive In, Dayglow Abortions, Conflict, Subhumans (both), Youth Brigade, Nip Drivers, The FU's, The Meatmen, Necros, Negative Approach, Embrace, Hoover, Regulator Watts, Shiner, Jawbox, and about 11 million more!
Movies
Repo Man, Star Wars Trilogy, Halloween, All things Godzilla (the REAL Godzilla as made by the Toho Corporation, not that crappy white man's "godzilla" that was just some retarded Jurassic Park knockoff), Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Decline of Western Civilization, Escape from New York, Sin City, Master of the Flying Guillotene, Hero, Crouching Tiger, all things Bruce Lee, The Crow (ONLY the first one, the rest were bullshit and don't count), The Matrix, Batman Begins, Batman, X-Men, Spiderman, Blade, Being There, Suburbia, DOA: A Right of Passage, The Warriors, Dracula, Creature from the Black Lagoon, Blues Brothers, Animal House, Caddyshack, Tron, Memento, Donnie Darko, American History X, American Pie, Stand By Me, Iron Monkey, , House of Flying Daggers.
Just to name a few. I love movies and have a ton of DVDs.
Books
I read some from time to time. Lately I've enjoyed autobiographies, anything from Neil Gaiman and all kinds of books about old punk rock.
Heroes
Every single person who was in a punk rock band that I listened to growing up and my mom(rip) and grandmother (rip).
I used to work as a video game designer for a company here in the Chicago area. Currently I sleep a lot and do various jobs while I figure out my next step in life.

About me: I am the keeper of The Punk Vault as well as owner of Spontaneous Combustion Records/zine. I go to lots of shows and take photographs and I used to be a reviewer for Punk Planet magazine until their recent demise. You can see my photos here. I've been getting more and more into photography lately.
In my non-punk rock related life, I am a video game designer for a company here in IL. That does not mean I make boatloads of cash, in fact I make far from it, however I do make enough to live comfortably. I also do some freelance graphic design/desktop publishing work and lately have been doing all the CD booklets and mastering jobs for Mystic Records as they have been slowly reissuing all their old punk stuff on CDs. Mystic Records you ask?! Yeah, the old man has more stories about him than most people on this earth and I can tell you that a lot of them are not true. In fact, when I was unemployed, he helped me out and was very generous.
I love the punk rock and have since I was in junior high school, which was far longer ago than I care to admit. I used to skateboard but was stupid and retired from that in my late teens and wish I never quit. I love going to shows and taking pictures, many of which can be found on my punk vault site. I also do an internet radio show of old punk rock called "Live From Combustion Manor" which has new episodes whenever we can, which sadly hasn't been very often as of late but it's coming back soon and better than ever. One of my dreams is to once again have a show on a real radio station where I can share old punk music with the people!
I'm always looking for new friends to hang out with, punks both old and young, people to go to shows with, trade records with, shoot photos with or go to Potbellys with, etc.
A big thank you goes to ExRaye for making my new layout!
Who I'd like to meet: Like minded individuals, fellow old-school punks, people with a good sense of humor, and all around good people to hang out with, chat with, go to a show with (I LOVE going to shows), play pinball with, eat with, or whatever. I love meeting new people and you can never have enough friends.
