I think I should have no other mortal wants, if I could always have plenty of music. It seems to infuse strength into my limbs and ideas into my brain. Life seems to go on without effort, when I am filled with music. --George Eliot

Music. Listening to it, that is. I don't play or sing - but I absorb and on occasion dance if the mood of the music moves me.

(Although, sadly - most of the traveling I've done is only in my mind... but some day... in this life or the next, I will watch the sun set in many lands.)
.Laughing.
(Clarify) True from the gut, drenched with joy laughing. Not *chuckle-chuckle* 'I enjoy good sarcasm' laughing... although, truth be told, I do enjoy good sarcasm at times!
This band is inside my head right now. Day and night their melodies float, bouncing from ear to ear.... their lyrics linger, falling from my lips unexpectedly. It's good stuff.

Barcelona's FIRST EVER music video. Check it out. It's BRILLIANT. AND it was shot here in Portland, the rain was very real! Stop by their page and give them kudos.
People who believe a difference CAN be made. People who aren't afraid to take part in making a difference.
Thanks to everyone out there doing their part to make the world a better place. You are my hero. ;o)

SO this is my devoted to music, I'm a complete junkie and I want to share my passion with all of you, page. Some fleeting thoughts of my own may appear from time to time, so please stay tuned. I do like ALL kinds of music, different genres, music from past eras.... but this page will be featuring the up and coming. The many many talented lesser knowns and unknowns. And maybe a few of my all time faves.... maybe. And please, if you have favorite indie artists SEND THEM MY WAY!
Who I'd like to meet: This is where I list the 101 artists who inspire me on a daily basis right? Maybe soon I will get to that - but for now, know this.... I've met too many amazing people to list. Most of them look like you and some may look a little like me.
Fame doesn't intrigue me. Passion does. Drive does. The ability to apply ones talent to their life and the lives they touch on a daily basis... that is what makes a person worthy of making the "I'd like to meet" list.
Be you. Know you. Love you. And I will love you, too!
Thanks for searching us out. How did you find out about the music? I see a lot of familiar faces on your top friends... seems as if you are in good company :)
Thank you so much, hopefully we will make it out of California, it helps to have the positive feedback from people like you. You're always so supportive, so thank you... B
Hi Amber! I miss us, too. Erin's working her day job and hopefully planning for the next 3-Hour-Tour, but there's not much else going on here. I got picked up by a site called www.audioholicmedia.com, which has a lot going on if you wanna check it out. You seeing/finding any good music lately?
heya sweet friend... happy mid april to ya... has it been over a year since i've seen ya now? been wondering why life just doesn't seem quite so vibrant!... hope youre great!!!
It was great to meet you too. Thanks for spreading the word and the love. See you soon in Cold Cold Colorado, Amber. Find me on facebook too, so it's easier to let ya know when we're playing there.
Crazy, fun packed 6 hours at SXSW! Finally met Amber Rubarth (Billy Hawn saw me in the crowd and was yelling my name before they started). Saw April Smith with full band and some of her friends groups. Took Max to see Bishop Allen (with "Pains of Being Pure of Heart" standing next to us), saw Au Revoir Simone, lots of free stuff, Max and Anne saw a movie, met a friend who gave me a rough cut of one of his album tracks I've been working on!! So much fun.
did you work out tickets to see brett? i crossed my fingers for you.
i had planned to see him there when i was still working with my old company and was traveling to denver every week. now that i'm not getting paid to travel there, i ain't going. that's ok though. i just saw him the other week in dallas... and it was awesome!
I know, I know, how inconsiderate of me. It's really too bad you won't be around on the coast, 'cause I'm playing along as part of my friend Aaron Roche's gorgeous original Christmas project. It has a bunch of well established Nashville cats on it, and Sufjan Stevens' blessings, and we rehearsed on Sunday... it's going to be pretty phenomenal. Can't wait. We'll have a video projector and everything. Sigh. Too bad Christmas only happens once a year--maybe we'll bring that show to Denver next December. Hope all is well for you, lady friend! There's a slight chance I'll be passing through Denver for a snowboarding trip in early January--if so, I will most definitely look you up!
