The Story of My Addiction started with one single phone call from Jason Cudmore to Ryan Gallant late in the winter of 2003. They decided to start jamming to some tunes here and there with different bass players as they went. Jason's killer leads and deep vocals combined with Ryan's punkrock/metal background made a very distinctive sound but it was lacking a solid foundation. Solution!? Dave Gordon; a bass player who suited their style perfectly. As Dave progressed with the band he became the backbone for keeping Ryan steady on the drums and provided a solid pulse of control for the band. The 3 jammed for a while with excellent progression but they were still missing something. That something was a 2nd guitar player named Corey Jones, Corey started playing with them and in no time he was rocking out the tunes like it was no ones business. The band was now formed, and now needed to start playing shows. They started off small with some parties and random hirings but soon made it into the bar scene playing the venues such as Myrons, JRs Place, Brennans, D'Arcy Mcgees, The Sportsmans pub and so on.. ..............................................................................................................................
