Mya Nevik's Interests
Music
Well, this is a tough category, because I'm a classically trained musician, so I like lots of stuff. I love Mozart, particularly his operas "The Marriage of Figaro" and "Cosi Fan Tutte". Some of my favorite classical pieces are Mendelssohn's "Fingal's Cave", Vivaldi's "Four Seasons" and Smetena's "The Moldau". CURRENTLY LISTENING TO: Michael Buble's "It's Time" and "Call Me Irresponsible"... A little Bluegrass - Ricky Skaggs, Bobby Osborne and the Rocky Top X-Press, J.D. Crowe and the New South
Movies
All-time faves - When Harry Met Sally, The Sound of Music, Notting Hill
Television
Looking forward to the new season of Smallville, CSI, Criminal Minds... and the series premier of Moonlight
Books
Trying out a new author these days... Liz Curtis Higgs, who writes sweet/inspirational romances. I also just finished reading "Bloodfever", book 2 in Karen Marie Moning's "Fever" series. Can I just say this about it... "I LOVE JERRICHO BARRONS!"
Heroes
JoAnn Ross, J.R. Ward, Jessica Bird, Nora Roberts, Karen Marie Moning, Lucy Monroe
About me: Mya Nevik discovered her love of writing in the sixth grade, starting first with poetry then moving quickly to fiction. Her eighth grade English teacher nurtured her writing talents, encouraging her to enter her very first writing contest that year. Though she didn't win, the die was cast, and Mya developed a desire and a dream that still lives within her. Mya is an avid reader who also writes contemporary romance fiction, with occasional elements of suspense and paranormal. After marrying the love of her life in 1996 and having three beautiful boys, Mya has plenty of material for writing about life, love, and happily ever after!
Who I'd like to meet: Jamie Fraser from Diana Gabaldon's "Outlander"... Aidan Gallagher from Nora Roberts's "Jewels of the Sun"... Michael Joyce from JoAnn Ross's "Fair Haven"... Circenn Brodie and Drustan MacKeltar from Karen Marie Moning's "Highlander" series... Wrath, Phury, and Tohrment from J.R. Ward's "Black Dagger Brotherhood" series... Jack Walker from Jessica Bird's "An Irresistable Bachelor"... "Spike Moriarty" from Jessica Bird's "A Man in a Million"...

Hey Mya, Thanks for friending this MySpace newbie. And how cool is it that you'd like to meet Michael Joyce!! He was one of my all time favorite heroes to write! Last year, when we were in Ireland again, I wandered all around County Clare, where Castlelough is set, and kept an eye out, hoping to see him, but he's a pretty elusive guy, LOL! Btw, Brendan, from the pub, finally (!!)gets his own ever after love in my High Risk book coming out this September.
