...Ahhhh, yes....music. How I've always been attracted to you. From a kid growing up with Micheal Jackson, Prince and other pop sensations, it wasn't until a lil bit later when I was introduced to creations like AC/DC, Scorpions, Ozzy and Metallica...I was in awe. Actually, I was scared first, then in awe. I remember the first time I heard Slayer, I was in the 7th grade and it scared the shit out of me. I LOVED IT! Then I heard Randy Rhoads play his Solo on "Suicide Solution" on the Ozzy/Randy Tribute release, then I FELL IN LOVE with the guitar. I even studied Classical guitar for a few years. It brought me to Cordoba, Spain and studied with Pepe Romero. My guitar professor, Norman Ruiz, brought 10 if his best students to Spain so we can really EXPERIENCE great music. And yes, it was an experience.
I've been in and out of bands, Alternative Rock and Metal mostly. But things never really worked out. But, I don't regret a bit of it. It has brought me here and I'm looking forward to where this will take me. I simply LOVE music, and will keep exploring all of its possibilities.
Now, my music isn't as heavy as the bands/artists I've mentioned but it is inside of me and I'm always exploring/expanding. Right now, most of my stuff is in the vein of Radiohead, U2, Sunny Day Real Estate and even Jeff Buckley. I'm just getting to know myself as a singer/songwriter and I'm excited to be able to share it with all of you in such a cool way. Thanks for coming along for the ride, because for me, this is yet another beggining...
