Charlie and the Chocolate factorys is the only movie worth the $9.25 ticket out and most likely ever will be. (Barring a few exceptions, i.e. 300, Spiderman 3, PotC, transformers...)

the daily show. I don't watch too much tv anymore. there is a lot more, but it's more stuff i have on dvd. 80's cartoons, anime, 90's/00's cartoons, random network shows.
Mostly sci-fi/fantasy, and a few others with very good writing.
Books
any and all fantasy. Romance novels that do not read like romance novels. Catch 22, Brave new World, One flew over the CooCoo's nest,...and then there were none, A clockwork Orange, All arthuriana, Shakespeare, maybe (JUST MAYBE) some Ayn Rand; she is beginning to appeal more and more to me (or not; just a bit too pretensious). Perks of being a wallflower. Roald Dahl rocks my world completely. Sherlock Holmes. All kinds of mythology- my favorite pastime. I getting to the older classics, like The catcher in the rye, and some philosophiocal texts, like plato and Nietiszche. Rolling stone and spin magazine contain some of the best articles ever written.
